Salam and Karim came and helped us with the luggage when we arrived. They do airport/bus/transfer for 12 Euros one way. The communication was a bit tough initially and the messages came back and forth for a bit. Pros: The rooms are actually decent and it's quite pretty. The aircon is cooling and there's a TV in the room. There are two toiletries provided and two bar soaps. Water pressure is strong and there's even a heater in the bathroom. Breakfast was great and they also packed some simple breakfast for us to takeaway when we had to leave early the next day. This riad is a lot cheaper as compared to other riads. You should be able to exchange some money here if you need more dirhams. They offer tours for the Medina for 10 Euros per person. Great location. We walked to the tanneries in about 20 mins. Cons: The downside though, the room downstairs is very humid, especially in the toilet. The room is not sound proof at all so you can hear everything from the hallway. The drainage system in the bathroom is not as good. Drinking water is not included - we were charged 60MAD for 3 bottles of big drinking water and 20MAD for extra mint tea that they offered us the day before. The price is fair considering the room is not expensive. Not sure if it's because we didn't tip them enough, the staff didn't bother to bring us out when we left 😂 Overall - as compared to the other riad that we paid twice the price for, I personally feel that the riad itself is about the same, though the staff's professionalism is a bit different. There are some renovations that's needed to be done in the room downstairs but again for the price that we are paying for, it's fair.

The best thing about our stay was Hussein and Zacharia working there who made us feel extremely welcome! The facilities such as the room and the terrace (recommend eating breakfast there) were amazing as well. The people working there were very helpful when we had questions, or when we were just up for a chat! We also liked the flexible check in and check out, and the tea at arrival was a very nice touch.

I had a very disappointing stay. The hotel is extremely old and poorly maintained — I even saw a cockroach in my room. On top of that, I experienced serious payment issues: their credit card POS machine “wasn’t working,” so I paid in cash, only to find later that the amount was also charged to my credit card. Days have passed and the issue is still unresolved. This is completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to...
