Bek-ben travel — Attraction in Fez

We used Bekben Travel on out first visit to Fes, 2 years ago, and were so impressed we contacted them again before returning. On our last visit, we had a wonderful day trip to Volubilis and Meknes with Ali plus efficient airport transfers. This time we decided to be more adventurous and go on a 3-day desert trip. Our driver Hamza was professional, friendly, helpful and very entertaining. After picking us up form the airport, he immediately helped us set up our phones so we could use internet etc. and saved us a lot of money. (It is much more expensive to do at the airport). The company's cars are new and very comfortable and have bluetooth and USB ports so we could listen to the music we wanted to, but we were also happy to listen to Hamza's collection of Moroccan tunes. We left Fes around 9.30am and stopped in Ifrane (The Moroccan "Switzerland") , Azrou to feed monkeys and a place called Zaida for lunch, where we had an amazing rustic BBQ, which was really tasty and extremely cheap. Hamza was happy to stop anywhere we asked him to and was good at explaining the scenery and history of the places we travelled through. He knows good places to stop and take photos and also told us where we could buy beer. We arrived in Rissani around 6.30pm and were amazed at the beautiful hotel the company had chosen us. The Hotel Ziz Palace is fit for a king, with fabulous rooms, a lovely pool, great food and excellent service. The next day, Hamza took us shopping in the souk in Rissani and helped us haggle and get some very good prices. We then headed off for Merzouga, where we met our camels and rode to our luxury camp, chosen by the company, which was fantastic. We met Hamza again the next morning and returned to Fez. It was an incredible trip we'll never forget! We asked Hamza to recommend a place to eat on our last night and he booked us a table in a restaurant with a show of traditional music etc. When we got there, we were given the best table in the restaurant and Hamza must have told the manager it was my birthday because they bought me an incredible cake. I was really touched. Hamza picked us up after dinner and gave us a little tour of Fez by night.

We really had a wonderful time and highly recommend BekBen Travel! We will certainly contact them next time we go...

Guide never showed up and no way to reach the company. I found out later that the guide was in a traffic accident on his way to pick me up and that is why he didn’t show up. I can certainly understand that things like that happen and obviously don’t blame the company for something beyond their control. However, I was unable to get a hold of anyone at the listed number, only an answering machine in Arabic and the Get Your Guide rep was also unable to reach the company. The accident is unfortunate but certainly forgivable, but the lack of communication is not. I have amended my review to three stars since they did reach out to me afterwards and offered a free activity to make amends but the inability to reach them when I needed to makes me unwilling to...

I just have to share this amazing experience with you – it was simply incredible! We were so lucky to meet such a professional and truly dedicated guide, who even came to pick us up at the airport. We spent seven days together and it was just unforgettable. We trusted him completely, and in return he showed us magical places, both in the city of Fez and around it.
