Absolutely brilliant trip. 6 days, 5 nights from Tangier to the desert and back at the end of May 2018 Hami, our driver and guide, was excellent. He was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, punctual and remained in contact even when not with us. He was a great driver and was very attentive to our needs. He took plenty of driving breaks, photo stops, helped us find things we needed such as bottled water, postage stamps for postcards etc. and even played music we enjoyed. He was very knowledgeable about our route, explaining things along the way, fitting in everything we wanted to do and then some. His English was great so we were able to learn a lot about his country from history to religion to language etc. and he provided translation assistance when needed. We felt safe and felt that everywhere we were taken was fair to tourists – we never felt that anyone was trying to take advantage of us. Hami provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and we enjoyed some wonderful meals of typical Moroccan food. The accommodations were excellent. We had the standard package and stayed in some beautiful, comfortable riads as well as some hotels. Everywhere was welcoming and friendly and the traditional breakfasts were great. Our favorite part of the tour was the desert and especially riding camels to and from the overnight camp. Sunrise over the dunes was amazing. It was a special treat to enjoy mint tea in a nomad Berber tent far out in the desert. This is a spectacular area and so quiet. We were four adults and the vehicle easily accommodated us and four suitcases, backpacks etc Overall, the tour was well worth the cost. It was very enjoyable to be driven everywhere by someone we enjoyed being with, and to have accommodation, tours etc booked for us. This all led to a stress-free tour where we feel we saw and experienced much more than we would have if we had tried to make all the arrangements ourselves. We hope to return, and would ask for Hami to be our driver again. A few suggestions for future visitors: get lots of coins for tipping take your own toilet roll and hand sanitizer as public toilets often did not...

Our guide Mohammed picked us up in the riad as agreed 2 months earlier. Don’t worry if you don’t hear from them the day before or if you don’t get any further confirmation closer to the date, as it is all arranged and they are very professional.

Mohammed spoke perfect English and was an amazing guide and friend througout the whole trip.

We spent the first night in Vallée des Roses, where we stayed in a kasbah with a lovely view. The staff was very friendly and we played drums and sang together after a delicious dinner. Be aware the accommodation is VERY basic, so upgrade to luxury if possible.

We spent the second night at the desert and this was the highlight of the trip! We stayed at the Dunes Luxury Camping which was as good as a hotel. It’s really worth it to upgrade to the luxury accommodation when staying in the desert, as you get private toilet with shower and comfy beds. The camp is in the middle of the dunes which means fantastic views and hikes. The staff prepared delicious food and we all sang and danced around a fire after dinner. We had an authentic Berber evening!

I took a 3 day/2 night trip from Marrakesh-Merzouga-Fes in September of 2018 and it was amazing! It will definitely be a cherished memory for the rest of my life. We could not have asked for a better driver than Mohamed, he was excellent - extremely professional, yet easy to talk with. Mohamed went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience - he is so knowledgeable about the people and customs of Morocco and I left with a different perspective of Morocco than I would have had otherwise. Morocco and its people are beautiful - I cannot wait to visit again. Our car was comfortable and clean, and Mohamed was a very safe driver. We had no worry for our entire trip – everything was taken care of. Before the trip, I would of liked to have received more organized information on where we would be staying and who would be driving us as I am a person who likes to know all of the details.
