Speakeasy Hostel Fes — Hotel in Fez

Booked thru lastminute.com and I have never felt so deceived and cheated. At the time of booking, they (lastminute.com) showed another hotel and private room which I believed had been booked. But on checking the booking near the departure date, I found I had been reserved a bunk in a 6 bed dorm hostel. The temperature here in Fes is around 30 degC and there is no fan, let alone air conditioning. The place doesn't even provide a towel, although the manager found me an old one after I complained. The hostel is nearly impossible to find, as there are no signs to it's whereabouts. Not surprisingly, the hostel feels dead as I'm the only sucker here. Forget about parking in the old Madina, or be gouged by the self appointed street wardens. If you have a choice, don't come here, there are much...

This is by far the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom door doesn’t even close. The entire hostel has NO windows and no terrace, making it feel like a prison. Rooms are extremely small and uncomfortable. A 4-bed dorm has only ONE power socket, located far away near the door. No towels provided in the bathrooms. They don’t give you keys to the main entrance door, which feels unsafe. Breakfast is only served after 9:10 a.m., which is totally inconvenient. The only positive point: Said, the staff member, is polite and helpful. Other than that, this hostel is a complete disaster. I would never stay here again and I strongly recommend you avoid it...

A fuir ! Nous avions réservé deux nuits dans une chambre avec lit double. En arrivant, nous réveillons la personne en charge de l'accueil. Il n'a pas l'air de savoir ce qu'il fait là. Je lui montre notre réservation. Nous comprenons que notre chambre a déjà été louée mais qu'il en a une autre à nous proposer et nous redonnera notre chambre initiale le lendemain. Il nous montre la nouvelle chambre et là.... Une pièce de 1,20m de hauteur avec un vieux matelas au sol. Nous refusons donc la chambre (sachant que mon conjoint fait 1,92m !!!). Il nous propose une autre chambre mais que nous devons payer en plus.... Un scandale. Aucune empathie ni recherche de solution via la personne de l'accueil. De plus l'état de l'établissement laisse vraiment à désirer, au fin fond d'une ruelle pas propre. On se retrouve donc sans solution pour dormir le...
