Toulousain has a very good location downtown, on a quiet street behind a large three-story western-style shopping mall (which conveniently has a large supermarket in the basement). ||It took me about 20 minutes to walk from the CTM bus station to Toulousain. It was difficult to find without GPS, as the Streets are often unmarked. || I very much liked this pleasant little hotel. My room, which cost about 300 dirhams, was located on the ground floor, looking onto one of the two courtyards. The room was very cool, even without air conditioning. Windows had screens and bars, so could be opened out onto the quiet courtyard. The bed was very comfortable and firm, and there was a small desk and chair for writing, shelves, and a support to put a suitcase on. There is free wifi. The room was simple but very functional and pleasant. || Breakfast, which was included, was a simple continental breakfast. I had a chicken vegetable tagine for dinner (order one hour in advance), which was served in the other courtyard -- it was inexpensive and very good. The management was helpful and pleasant. There is a used bookstore cafe next door. I would definitely stay in this...

Read moreWe stayed at this location in February. ||||Our room was located on the first floor (I recommend asking for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor). Right outside of our window was the courtyard (which is beautiful) which can be too loud when people wake up early to eat breakfast. ||||Our room had an open Shower and Toilet. There was just a wall, without a ceiling, seperating it from the rest of the room. ||||With the hot weather and cold rooms you need to air out the room often. We were walking around the entire day, so when we got back, our room was really humid and my clothes smelled. Every time we were in our room we had the windows open, but at night we didn't because we were on the ground floor. Having a room on the 2nd or third floor could prevent this issue. ||||No T.V. but good wifi. ||||The staff was extremely friendly. ||||Breakfast was delicious, but not a breakfast you think of when you travel to America or any European countries: Moroccan bread, jam, pastry and OJ. ||||The hotel was about 30 min walking distance from the city center of Marrakech. ||||All in all, good hotel...
