Boutique that could be better
This place has all the attributes of a good Boutique. Great decor, Newari architectural charm, the right amount of creature comforts, and personalized and friendly hospitality. IF it fixes a few holes in the fabric, it could be a winner. The biggest letdown was the extremely lame breakfast that had almost no good local food in it and the dated room interior. IF they get that fixed they can be a true charmer.
LOCATION: Good location in old Bhaktapur and walkable from Durbar square and ll points of interest
DINE + DRINK: The Breakfast was a disappointment and it was closed quite early in the night even before we arrived. There is also No good Bar on site.
ROOM: We stayed in Room 401, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random view of the cityscape ; SIZE: Spacious enough with a huge living room and s separate Bedroom; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: A very doo Bathtub shower with no shower curtains! ; TOILETRIES: Very random cosmetics, better to bring your own
FACILITIES: No gym on site, but there is an outdoor pool that is unusable in colder weathers.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to RINA at front desk and SAIU at the breakfast restaurant
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Super slow Wi-Fi that was patchy in the room! Big Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...

Read moreThis is an edit of my review according to my recent 2 experiences which has made me never go back to the place. So about the first bad experience we had ordered a hookah but we were told that we were supposed to smoke it outside sitting area. But I had literally seen people smoke it inside the other day. I communicated same to the waiter to which he said he would go and ask permission with the manager or owner and then literally came back saying it was the owner who was smoking that you must have seen and since he owns the place he can do whatever. I was in shock seeing the unprofessionalism. Then the next time I went I had to go to the front desk every time I needed something. They were charging 10% service charge but had the audacity to say we are understaffed for the day. They charged 5% after I brought up the issue. The food quality has definitely degraded. I tried naan with paneer in my last visit but the naan was as crunchy as a pappad and the paneer had too big chunks. Also if you are looking for a budget friendly place this might...
