Everest Holiday Inn — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I don't even know where to start. I booked a room with two single beds for 11/10/2024, and we checked in around late morning. The food was good, but while we were in the room, we noticed a few cockroaches running around on the floor and even on the table. After dinner, we went out for a walk. When we returned and tried to sleep, we were shocked to find cockroaches everywhere in the room.

I went to the reception and informed the person at the desk about the situation. He seemed to have an "I don't care" attitude and tried to ignore me, making it clear that he didn't believe me. To prove it, I showed him a video that I had taken.

His response was, "No worries, sir. We'll change the bed sheet." I refused, stating that we couldn't possibly sleep in a room with cockroaches running around. He then offered us another room to see. Unfortunately, it was even worse, with more cockroaches. I asked if there was anything else they could do for us. He then asked his colleagues to take me to another hotel. I checked in this morning and welcomed by Receptionist. The room is quite okay for a traveller like me. The bathroom is clean and well arranged.I've got a bottle of water and glass on the table.TV and wifi are working very well, The Room service menu is also available in the room.I've ordered some food in the room, it was quick and delicious. The best thing to stay in this hotel is its budget hotel and very close to Kathmandu Int'l Airport. What I feel bad here are The bed sheet wasn't changed upon Arrival, I could see the stan and crumbles on the bedsheets and another thing is whenever I called to the Front desk they aren't thanking to the guest for their request before Drop the call.||||Overall its a good budget hotel with friendly staff. This hotel is a great option for people planning to stay near airport, I actually didn't have to book a cab to reach the place. It's also great value for money. The staff is very polite and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant too and it's very economical. I stayed there for 3 days and ate only from the restaurant, The waiters in the hotel were very welcoming too, specifically I was impressed by the polite attitude of the waiter Suryak. However, the hotel does have a very minor roach problem, but it isn't really this hotel specific I guess.
