Hotel Everest Regency — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

This is the most insecure hotel I have ever ever ever stayed in my life. The booking was booked through airBNB, full amount paid. On arrival from a foreign country, these guys staged a drama that there was no such booking. We waited for an hour. Then they provided the exact same room that was shown in the description in AirBNB. We had booked for 7 nights. After the 3rd day, they started harasssing us that we did not pay etc,. Then they told us some stories that the listing in airBNB was by the old hotel owner. He is in Canada and not contactable. AirBNB was contacted. No help. The reply got from AirBNB was, oh! we arenot able to contact the host. Local Nepal police was called, who didnt understand anything or probably bribed by these hotel guys. We were physically blocked from leaving the hotel on the day of our check out despite having a valid receipt from airBNB. We were forced to pay around 50,000RS in addition to what we paid to airBNB. Our booking was from Nov 21 - 28, 2024. Despite complaining to airBNB that the owner denied listing, till date (18/12/2024) I am able to make a booking. We booked 2 ac rooms with deluxe balcony for 3Days online.However we received non-ac rooms without balcony.We were promised for switching of rooms the second day but we were denied for the same on second day. Absolutely pathetic. No lift. No helper to take your luggage at third floor. Only one towel provided which went absconding the next day. And most important there was flushing issues in the toilet. With two small kids it was mental torture. We even requested for a bucket for the toilet if the flush was not working which was denied. A total mental HARASSMENT Will NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE...
