Hotel Tree House — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

We reached KTM at 6pm and needed to stay near airport coz of next day flight. The hotel is located in a very narrow lane behind airport hotel and is not easy to find the place. Also, the surroundings are very poor (village like setting). Very basic hotel (not exactly a hotel, more of a paying guest sort of acco). Room was average with hot water, small tv, no room heating etc. The food however is cooked by the owner's wife. So you need to inform them in advance and we actually liked the home cooked spicy Nepali food prepared as we had asked. What ever you pay for rent that includes commission of 40 percent for taxi driver , who has dropped you at the hotel. This hotel is commission based works that way. So if you are paying 4K for room 1500 to 2000 is cut for taxi drivers who has dropped you to hotel.

If you try to books to this hotel your self they will not entertain you they will give you really bad small room at top floor. You will be paying so much for small cramped room which has damped bed and blanket.
