Prudential Hotel Nepal — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

We stayed for 1 night in their 2 bedroom suite (Apartment).||Pros:|- location- close enough to the airport, next to an excellent cafe.|- clean for the most part|- food was decent||Cons|- Service in general was lacking.|- They failed to send a van for the airport pickup when they had confirmed (multiple times) they would send one. This was very important to us. We were left stranded at the airport for quite some time with a baby and a toddler. Front desk staff were polite, but apparently the "sir" person responsible for arranging it didn't care? Wasn't apologetic on the phone either.|- Our room had a strong paint fume, burning our eyes. One of the hotel employees acknowledged it was a known issue, but I guess they put in guest in there anyways. We had to keep the windows open.|- Water was disgusting, brown and stench. But I think that is Kathmandu problem in general, not sure if hotels can put in filtration systems.||Would not recommend, mainly because whoever is in charge doesn't...

The hotel was close the airport. They have tried to design a stylish hotel. Looks quite new. Cleanliness was an issue. Everything smelled of smoke. The main hallways and stair railings were very dusty and it’s looks like construction dust. The room floor was gritty and the sheets were either not cleaned or had oil stains. The room smelled of smoke. We asked for another room without the smell and they tried their best to accommodate. They offered a room they had sprayed with air freshener. The smoke smell was better than artificial scent. ||The beds were soft. If you like that, then great. We are used to firm Asian beds so did not appreciate the old style dip in the bed when you lie down.||The service was very good, they really tried to accommodate. But I would rather find another place that...
