We stayed at Mountain Lodges of Nepal – Namche twice during our Everest Base Camp trek — once on the ascent and again on the descent — and both times it felt like coming home in the mountains.||||The lodge perfectly balances comfort and tradition, offering all the modern amenities you could want at this altitude — from heated beds and hot showers to a cozy lounge area perfect for relaxing with tea after a long day of hiking.||||What really stood out was the staff’s warmth and efficiency. They remembered us from our first stay and greeted us like old friends the second time around. I even got laundry done at a very reasonable price, which was such a treat during the trek!||||The meals were consistently great, with generous portions and beautifully presented dishes, and the dining room had such a welcoming vibe.||||Namche is a bustling stop on the trail, but this lodge gave us a peaceful and comfortable haven both times we stayed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a touch of luxury and genuine care in the heart of...

Rooms: clean, two beds, thick duvets & great pillows. Awesome view of Namche Bazaar from the room's window. Electric blankets that worked all night to keep us warm were included in the beds. We had a hot shower (we think solar-powered, so not available at all hours - particularly not in the morning - but we had no problems). Kettle of boiled water included. Hooks, nightstand, garbage can all included.
Dining Hall & Food: Food was amazing. It was nearly empty when we went, so we might have had extra special service, but we can't say enough good things. Three courses, unlimited tea & hot water and very accommodating to all dietary restrictions.
Happy Hour: There was an awesome happy hour mid-afternoon with tea & popcorn & a hot stove to keep you warm.
Other: The lodge locks the door at night, so if you leave after dinner, make sure someone is around to let you back in. (We found out the hard way, but managed to catch...
Read moreOne of the upmarket lights in Namche, and for good reason. The rooms are nicely finished and the beds are comfortable, clean and with a heated blanket. I had room 27 which is in the left wing and all r rooms in this wing have fabulous views overlooking the town, however some rooms in the other wing behind reception (rooms 1-15 I think) look the other way straight into a wall and with a path at the top of the wall offer no privacy. | The shower is solar powered and the first night was roasting, however after a cloudy day the second night was just about hot enough. | The food is great but they only have 2 set meals which they alternate each night, no a la carte.| Staff are very helpful and courteous. It's a bit of a step walk up or off town to reach, hence the great views. Would...
