Hotel Sleepwell — Hotel in Pokhara

We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day stay at Hotel Sleepwell in the scenic town of Pokhara at the foot of the Himalayan Annapurna range where many come to begin their trek into those majestic mountains. We had a beautiful view of Phewa Lake, the incredible Peace Pagoda and the surrounding hills from a comfortable open but covered patio very near to our room. The rooms are very comfortable and quite reasonable. The bed was very nice. The furnishings are simple but cozy. We had a private bathroom and our room had air conditioning. Whenever we needed anything, we had only to ask and the staff would go out of their way to try and accommodate us. There were optional meals available from morning until evening. The food was simple but excellent. Susila Mukton, the manager, has decorated the hotel and is constantly striving to add to the distinctly Nepali ambiance. She and her family work hard to maintain the comfortable atmosphere at the hotel. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful. They became as family during our stay. Very nice hostel, away from the main busy road but still very close to Lakeside. Staff helps me with everything from booking guest house in mountain villages to providing me cash when I was running out of money in remote places.
