I chose this hotel because it was close to the cruise terminal and because it offered a room with a terrace that overlooked the beach. It did fulfil both of these criteria, and the terrace room certainly had an excellent view of the beach and sea. However, if a bit more money were spent on the hotel, it could become a proper boutique place. Currently, it has some shortcomings. The entrance and reception area are depressing, cheap, and grim looking. However, we did not need to spend time there. Our room had received some poor repairs to the plasterwork and was quite basic in character. We did like the wet room bathroom, nevertheless, even though the finish again was not of international standard. One thing we did not appreciate was finding a previous guest's pack of condoms in the chest of drawers in the bedroom, so the cleaning and servicing must be questionable. The kitchenette was useful but would benefit from a tea towel to dry the dishes. It was very convenient to have an independent cafe beneath the hotel and a minimarket also almost underneath the hotel. The pool was attractive even though I did not have time to use it. Although I was very pleased with the terrace, it definitely required an umbrella to create some shade if needed from the sun. On balance, the hotel was a reasonable buy for the location and view, but some corners are being cut,...
Read moreI had an ordeal I will never ever forget and I will spread it send the picture and report from my doctor. Bedbugs ate by back and hand for dinner. I got affected from the bedbugs 🐝 while i was there for my Sisters 60th Birthday 🎉 celebration 🎈 could not finish my stay had to move out few hours on the same night 🌚 I checked in it was the most uncomfortable experience. Here lying down on the bed listening to my Bible study and was itching and itching until I got up say no something is wrong put the light 💡 on and bugs 🐝 running all over the pillow. Had to go to front desk and report all the say we will refund my money back while i am in pain. Went back the next day to see the management and it was just sad 😭 to see how he dealt with the matter. Asking how can he help by give me a meal or drink 🍺 I am allergic to bugs 🐜 and my body was affected and you offering food just cancel ❌ my time in a dirty hotel and all you can offer is food 🍕 or drink 🍻 who would want to do such? you want to feed me nonsense. Instead of trying to help a person who is in pain. I am going a little further, cause you all could at least offer to get me some ointment to ease my pain. I had to buy all these medications on the Island could enjoy myself cause every minute the itching and scratching just sad. Shame on Management you all need to close down and give that place a...
Read moreThis hotel, the original, was built in the 1940s, I was told and is the first hotel on Front Street. It is in an ideal location. I stayed in the originally built hotel; the staff assisted me with every need. I had a personal escort to find mangoes by the original owner's grandson. He was nice enough to show me places as we walked to find the mangoes. Overall, this hotel was not ideal as I prefer a quiet environment. However, I made the most of it and adapted. Where my room was located, I could hear everything. As someone who works online, completing certain tasks was difficult. All in all, The newly renovated area looked amazing and private. The pool and lounge (game area) area with bar/restaurant also looked great. They also have private cabanas, etc, and games. You can chill with your friends. If you are not staying at the hotel - you can pay $20 to enjoy the infinite pool. Safe community! As a solo female traveler, I explored it on my own.
Also, I could hear music from the lobby when I needed to record my YouTube video. I asked them to kindly turn it down for me for at least 10 minutes because I did not want to get a copyright on my video. They complied 😍
I stayed in room 34, which has a spectacular beach view; you open the curtains, sit in bed, and watch the ocean.
Suggestion: when renovating that section, ensure that in room 34, you...
