We told our taxi we’re Indians (West Indians) that never ate authentic Indian food before and he recommended here as a top place to try. Indeed the experience was! The ambience gives a very local restaurant/ bar vibe that reminded me of back in Trinidad. Also, because the waiter didn’t serve us immediately upon arrival we were given complimentary samosas! OMG they were so big and full of so many spices m! Likewise, the sauces were super yummy!! A very pleasant waitress greeted us and helped us pick a menu option that had a short wait time and gave us the authentic meal we wanted. We order chicken tikka masala, dhal takka and basmati rice. My wedding was in Sint Maarten this past weekend and I was so surprised at how delicious the food was from Newa Chopsticks. I’m Nepalese and didn’t realize until a few days before that a Nepali restaurant was on the island. I decided to support them one of the first nights for family and friends to get a little Nepali taste with a couple hundred momos and other sides like chicken choila, daal, and so on.
