Windward Islands Bank — Local services in Philipsburg

Horrible experience waited 3months for a business loan was told everything looking good then last minute oh we need 30k more when I already give you 290,000 in collateral for a small business loan then you going ask me for 30k more which comes to 320,000and I want 100,000 loan tell how this makes sense .they have something against young local business owner even when u have all yr paper work they still find or make something up at the last minute when they don't want you to be successful they will find anything .do not recommend the bank I will never use them again never And if you have any plans on opening a business forget about it corruption has taking over the head of the bank ,the ones who have car rental car dealership pay the head to make sure people like me and you don't get approval, this need to be...

I have been at this bank for 20+ years and they just started this new Automated system whereas all tellers do every thing(deposits, withdrawals, customer service everything). Which means you need to stand behind a person dealing with fraud, banking issue etc. to grab some cash and go. So now your delayed for the most minute transaction and what should have been quick and easy becomes an all day affair.

In addition all windows aren't staffed In addition to giving tellers more work. The banks "ambassador(new hires btw)" aren't even at their station to assist with this new system.

All and all just a bad system. It's garbage and isn't efficient in the slightest. Fire whoever suggested it.

I wouldn't recommend this bank to my worst enemy. Absolute terrible customer service. We've been trying to close our account for over 3 months because the bank is refusing to give us access to our funds. Janic wilson the file remediation officer, NO help, keep giving us the run around. We were then refered to Sharon Juliet Branch Manager, she does not answer emails or return phone calls. This woman actually told us that in order for us to tranfer our funds or close our account we need to fly to St.Maarten because we live abroad.. IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC!! This is even after we told them that we have active MCB accounts (windward island bank affiliate)
