FRIENDLY DUTY FREE — Local services in Philipsburg

A friend of mine and myself, found Friendly Duty Free almost 20 years ago. They started in a very small store in one of the many alleys off of Front Street. Today, Friendly Duty Free has grown to three stores on Front Street, almost entirely from word of mouth.

I have cruised many times, going to St Maarten at least once a year. On every cruise, I tell my new friends, typically in a lounge, about Friendly Duty Free’s unbeatable affordable prices and history. I traveled with a group one time and coordinated with the travel agent to go to Friendly Duty Free. The travel agent has since told all of their clients going to St. Maarten and always had nothing but great comments.

I absolutely love this place. Always friendly, prices are great, and the shop is very reliable. I'm not sure why someone would say they don't send to the ship. Not only have they never missed getting my items to the ship, they let you know what time you have to purchase for everything to arrive on time.
