This hotel is an absolute gem in the embassy district of The Hague. The hotel has recently been renovated (that's why there aren't many reviews yet). It is located in an old house and during the modernization the builders managed to preserve the old flavor. When you enter you will see a wide staircase leading to the first floor, a table with chairs. It seems that you have found yourself in the 19th century. But then you go up in a modern beautiful elevator and find yourself in a small room with only 4 rooms. We stayed on the top floor, where the so-called Skylight Rooms are located. They are a little more expensive, but above you there will be a very high ceiling decorated with real old wooden beams. The room is equipped with everything you need - an induction hob, an oven with an electric grill, a microwave. Everything is absolutely new. Shiny new fittings in the stepless shower. The room was perfectly clean, despite the hot day, it was cool in it, thanks to the powerful and absolutely silent air conditioning. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast with buns freshly baked in the oven and coffee made in the Nespresso coffee machine. However, if you are too lazy to cook breakfast, you can order it to your room. And one more factor, a real rarity in The Hague: literally 300 meters away you can park absolutely free from 6 pm to 8 am on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday. So, having come to The Hague for the weekend, you can save on parking, living in the city center. And a small minus: as in most Dutch houses, there are no curtains in the room. You can lower the blinds (using an electric motor), but then the room will be a bit dark. However, the house is located quite a long way away, so this is...
Read moreVery clean, cosy and perfectly, privately run Hotel in the proximity of Den Haag's international court and embassies. Nearby you can explore nice architecture, calm and nice places, nice restaurants and also wonderful parks. You will finde a supermarket, speciality food stores, little cafes and also a bar to enjoy a cocktail or snacks. To the beaches it is little far by feet, with car it takes only 10-20 minutes though. The Hotel is rather small but very calm and clean, with modern facilities. Our room (44) was clean, spacious, with modern furniture and a small kitchen, big bathroom and cosy bed. The owner and staff were very friendly, supportive and supported us with any requests, even at late hours. Special thanks to the son of the owner for sorting a special situation for us and also being extra supportive and let us stay in the room for a little longer. Only small things missing: extra paper tissues, a glas door for the shower. We had a very pleasant stay and can highly...
Read moreBeautiful and fine hotel. Me and my wife were here in august 2025. But one thing was really bad and that is the hidden step on the way to the elevator. My wife missed this small step in combination with the really dizzying pattern of the rug and fell flat down almost hitting the wall with her head. She easily could have been hurt badly but 'only' ended up with scratches and a purple bump on her head. The receptionist offered his apologies but nothing more. It seems to happen to more people and he would inform the manager, maybe they should put a warning sign he said. How truly unprofessional. We didn't here anything afterwards, no changes to the step, no warning sign, no written apologies, no flowers....
