Seeing the previous reviews, I think it’s only fair to comment on the ridiculously long waiting time for our food.
We were willing to forgive an error in the booking system on arrival as our reservation could not be found. We waited 30 minutes before we were seated. Waited 15 mins for 2 coffee and orange juices each to be brought to us (even though 1 coffee and 1 orange juice were were served 20 minutes apart from the other).
Upon asking about when the food arriving 50 minutes into sitting (1hr 20 since our arrival) we were told there was still a bit of a wait and we asked for another coffee in the meantime.
20 minutes later (1hr 10 since sitting) still no food and they had forgot the coffee and the couple next to us who arrived after we sat were served food.
To which we complained we had been here for an hour and a half and we did our best to be patient but at this point we are starving as we got here for breakfast.
The food arrived finally within 10 mins of that complaint and we were not disappointed.
Despite the ridiculously long waiting, the food was worth the money. We had Eggs Norwegian, Croque Wanita (wow wow!!) and a side of hash browns.
We empathized with the staff but it seems Ted’s really needs to work on staffing capacity and making sure the food gets there in a reasonable time otherwise it isn’t worth it.
Eventually, they were kind enough to not charge us for our coffees.
Perhaps if it were a bigger group of us we could ignore the longer waiting time.
But when we are with just two reserved for our first meal of the day, it is NOT ideal.
Great food, just expect to wait minimum 1 hour to get your order. So make sure you don’t make any appointments you need to rush...
Read moreI have never wrote a review in my life and will probably never do it again, but this place is just the biggest scam I have ever stepped foot in.
I’ve tried coming here three times before, and all three times I called before to reserve a table. Every time I would arrive at the restaurant, they suddenly had no clue I even called and told me they couldn’t seat me because they were full. It pissed me off for sure, but like I said, I’m usually not someone who gets very fed up over these things.
Well, today I thought to myself “Let’s give this place another chance”. I mean, it’s very busy every time after all.
I called, arrived, and surprise surprise, they had a table for us. Great. We ordered. Then the food came.
TELL ME HOW YOU ARE JUSTIFYING 14 EUROS FOR A BREAKFAST BURRITO THE SIZE OF PENCIL. PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME.
Supposedly there should be bacon and cheddar inside of the burrito. It was nowhere to be found (or at least, I didn’t taste it). ‘With a side of guac’. WELL YOU CAN TAKE THAT LITERALLY CAUSE IT WAS ON THE SIDE IN A LITTLE SAUCE CUP AND IT COULDN’T HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HALF A SPOON.
I can’t believe this is what has come of restaurants in The Hague. I do not mind spending a bit more money for food, as I enjoy going to restaurants. But this is just insane. I’m never ever in my life stepping foot inside a Ted’s establishment again.
I really hope the staff is getting paid above minimum wage, because that would justify the high prices a bit. And to be honest, the service was perfect. Everyone was kind and fast, so nothing to complain there. Anway, 1/5 stars for this place, i’m pissed off that I even tried so many times to come...

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service and experience I had at your restaurant.
Upon arrival, I noticed that each person entering was warned about the limited number of employees and the long wait times in the kitchen. This discouraged at least two individuals, but I decided to stay.
Once seated, a waitress approached me and requested that I move to a different spot so I could be more visible to the staff. Although inconvenient, I complied with her request.
When I ordered my meal, I requested the corquets plate and a lemon pie for dessert. Unfortunately, the dish turned out to be excessively spicy, without any prior indication on the menu. When I informed the server about the spiciness and my inability to continue eating it, I was met with a dismissive response that it was not possible since the dish is not spicy while my mouth was burning.
Nonetheless, I decided to proceed with the lemon pie, which was the only enjoyable part of my experience. However, the final blow came when I was presented with the bill. To my surprise, I was informed that I would be charged 50% of the spicy dish because it didn't suit my taste, despite there being no prior warning of its spiciness on the menu.
I find it deeply disappointing that a restaurant with potential has let down its customers in such a manner. The lack of transparency about the dish's spiciness, the dismissive attitude towards my discomfort, and the unexpected charge have left a negative...
