I am not sure where to begin, this is how nice our stay was. We stayed 2 different nights, so we got to experience the private room with private kitchen and private bathrooms as well as a private room with shared bathroom and shared kitchen. Both experiences were wonderful. I am a camper at heart, so I love common areas and meeting people, and we definitely were more social on our second night + got to meet the owners and their sweet kids. Everyone was sweet, from the front desk (Sapphire) to the owners Mike and Christina + little Hudson, everything was clean and inviting: the indoor common kitchen, the outdoor grills and tables, the pizza oven, the hot tubs and sauna, the playgrounds for the kids, and the location is perfect. You can cross the street to the beautiful lake, you can walk to restaurants and the grocery store, and to an amazing city playground. Everyone we met at this holiday park was sweet and respectful. Would 100% recommend this place to stay a couple days on your way to Milford Sound and on the way back from Milford Sound. Perfect stop. Wonderful experience. And check out the view of the stars from the hot tub in photos below. There is also a TV room but we didn’t use at all. We were too busy being social and enjoying the outdoors. PS: excellent stop if you are renting a camper van and want a hot shower and a nice kitchen and to do laundry.

We stayed in Te Anau originally because our Doubtful Sound cruise departed from here and Tasman Holiday Park seemed like a good location on the map. We certainly didn't expect it to be one of our favourite places in NZ after a 5 week motorhome trip on the South Island. The team are very friendly and helpful, which I believe is credit to Mike. We felt like he was an old friend from our first interaction and overheard him speaking with staff in the same friendly manner - hek, I'd come and work for him! Apart from the wonderful people and Sid the puppy who we tried to smuggle into our motorhome, the park itself is spotless, very well equipped and in a fabulous location across from the lake and an easy walk into town for supplies, coffee or a meal. We took advantage of the hot tub and sauna which were impressively laid out to maximise privacy. We actually forfeited a night in Queenstown to return to Tasman Holiday Park Te Anau on our way back from Milford Sound and were very happy with that decision. I couldn't recommend the park highly enough and will most certainly make a point of returning here whenever we come back to NZ. Thank you Mike, Tina, Sid and team.

No comment for the room as we stay on a motorhome. The facilities are clean. Kitchen doesnt come with pots, pans and cutleries so you had to rent or BYO which will be quite problematic for some people. Toilet and shower is clean. Hot shower working well. They have ready-boiled water for making own hot beverages. The fridges spaces are good too. Didnt go for their hot tub as minimum pay for 2 pax whereas only 1 person planned to go. The sauna is interesting must try! Its free to use but you have to booked in advance with front desk too but unfortunately on my last day morning i didnt manage to book sauna a day before so went down to the reception to book for the sauna but was told she need to switch it on and wait 1 hour to come back as it need 1 hour to heat up so i went on to have my breakfast first and went to the sauna an hour later to find out it wasnt switched on and went to reception to ask and she said she didnt get my booking earlier. Bbq is free to use and its hotplate type. There is a very nice resident cat (i think) very cute cat and friendly. Will come right up to you if you call him.

Our first morning was a little different than we had imagined. When we woke up we noticed that a huge puddle had formed around our tent. Our tent was about 5cm deep in water. Unfortunately, some water got into the inside of the tent at the corners, so everything was a little wet. After we dried everything temporarily, we left the tent. There we met a really friendly man who immediately offered to set up our tent in another location. He also offered to dry all the wet things in the tent for us. As it turned out later, the nice man's name was Mike and he had taken over the campsite a week ago. While we were warming up in the TV room, Mike worked on the clogged manhole cover in front of our campsite, as a large puddle had already formed around it. Unfortunately without success. When we met Mike in the kitchen a little later, he told us that he had lost his wedding ring while trying to open the manhole cover. After the conversation, we walked back to our car, which was right next to the manhole cover, and when we looked for the ring we noticed that it was stuck between two struts of the manhole cover. Mike couldn't believe it when we showed him the ring. Fortunately, it soon stopped raining again and we were able to set up our tent again in another location (our campsite was the only one flooded in the entire campsite), so we asked reception for a suitable location. When we told them that Mike had sent us, the lady at the reception quickly called Mike. After a short phone call, she asked us who had found her husband's wedding ring and when we explained how we had found the ring, she said that Mike wanted to offer us a free hour in the hot tub. Of course we are very happy about that. Every time we met Mike at the campsite, which was very often, all of us grinned. Somehow this story turned what was originally a not so good day into a day we like to think back on. The campsite was in perfect condition and one of the best we have been to in New Zealand. Thank you for the wonderful time. We wish Mike and his family all the best for the future and much success with...

A very warm, friendly and great welcome by Anne of Te Anau reception makes our family trip full of cheerful after a lengthly travel and tiring trip from Riverton to Manapouri and end up at Te Anau Top 10 Holiday park. Although initially was still wondering if we wanting to go to Lake View Holiday Park . Thanks Anne for your hospitalities and helpful with your "sweet' smiles. Besides, this site is marvelous, with the cleanliness, great and well upkeep wash rooms where my kids 1st impression was "WAH", just like those commercial golf course standard where it is bright, clean, neat and moreover with songs being play to cheer-up the wonderful washing time and during easing ourself. The facilities here are well maintain and observe everybody who use this did fell the same until all are able to make sure it is being clean after use and making sure the later will enjoy the same. Location wise is wonderful with this quiet city and cited besides the Te Anau Lake with wonderful gardens. Cheers Anne, while I am writing and completing my trip story, you will be the one who i will always remember together with Max, who make our stay here unforgetful. This is camparatively with others I have stay so long for 12 days here in NZ together with some of the travellers who I met that we share our experience along the journey. Again, thanks Anne and have a wonderful Merry Christmas and...
