Bakehaven Cafe — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

This cafe has very poor management (Kot) personally this person has no people skills whatsoever, a friend of mine had purchased nachos with mince & sour cream, my friend had a wee mouthful of the mince & asked for me to taste it, it had an awful taste & wasnt very pleasant, the tacos tasted very bland, this manager was approached & was asked whether we could have a replacement meal or whether we could pay the difference for another meal, there was no compromise at all from her, she tried to get hold of her boss as they were part owner on the phone & it diverted to voicemail, after arguing back & fourth with this rude manager, she then says after 15 minutes that my friend will need to pay & extra $10 for another meal if she wanted too but there was no refund which I thought was utterly ridiculous, note to anyone, be mindful of what you order from this cafe as there are no refunds & no meal replacement! I wouldnt bother recommending this cafe due to the level of service & attitude from this...

Visited this place after hearing by word of mouth that it’s a great place to have a meal at and what not. Visited on the 23/09/2023 (today). Order consists of a McMuffin, Mince & Cheese pie & tea.

Service could be better or maybe all 3 of the front of house staff was not having a great morning as we were there around 7:45 am. I walked up to the counter not one single female that was there greeted me, I said Hi no response and so I was just like um ok. Waiter that delivered our tea looked like she hated her job. We said thank you but no response 🤣.

Anyway the McMuffin smelt a bit off and it was like it was left overnight or something. The egg & hash inside was cold, so it could be that it was a McMuffin from yesterday. 🤣 Pie was delicious 7.5/10, Tea is tea but what really let them down was the poor customer service. Making customers feel unwelcome.

I will return to see if it was just a bad day for the staff here & can change the rating but for now. It’s a 1 starred...

The front of house Asian lady with blondish or dyed hair that worked on Wednesday 15th March 2023 morning shift. Rude customer service. Did not greet customers before asking for their order, instead expected the customer to give there order and responded with “yup” and “nah”. Not sure if its because we were pacific islander or māori because the “white” skinned customers actually got more of a welcoming affect Lol.

if you do not like your position in that area of work, that is no excuse to be rude and unprofessional to customers spending money. Also, is it really that hard to treat all customers with the same level of respect?

Do not recommend , food was also very underwhelming and you could probably get better down...
