Baden Lodge — Hotel in North Island

I am really dissapointed in our stay at Baden Lodge, i booked to stay for the weekend from friday to sunday for my family of 5. We were told to wait an take a park at check in time due to the room not ready, i had to provide photo id, vehicle registration number of our car an customer details on a form before given a key. The room we were taken to was dirty soon as i walked in, flies everywhere, tidy but dirty. For five of us staying the room that we were given had two double beds with bedding an was told the fold out couch also, which had no bedding just two cushions. 5 towels for the whole weekend, no tea towels or dish cloths for dishes, floors all wet from a wet mop been through, i asked the owner for flyspray, toilet paper an also a clean bedspread and some clean blankets, he changed the bedspread an put the dirty bedspread in the cudboard in our room. On saturday we left the motel room and was away all day but noticed someone had been in our room. I approached the people in charge, they said yes they did service, nothing was done, no linen replaced, no fresh extra clean towels bought in, towels that had been used were still in a pile on the ground in the bathroom, rubbish bin still the same as we left,i changed the bag. I had been using my sons baby wipes to clean an dust surfaces and surroundings to feel a little at ease. This place was terrible and a very UNHYGIENIC MOTEL, I will never bring my family here to stay again. It needs to be...

Bathroom REEKED of strong urine OVER the smell of Rotorua.

The whole place is very run down, grimy, dusty, dirty, filthy!! I felt like I was in an American horror movie and we stopped at a dingy motel along a desert road.

The service is great but they ask for feed back for what? They haven’t improved anything even though the reviews are consistently negative.

I left my partner to book the motel as I was sorting other things for our trip. As soon as we arrived I noticed it was run down.

We were told to come back as the room wasn’t ready at check in time. $200 per night!! Worth more like $80/90 per night.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights, we booked and paid. I moaned the whole night our first night, I felt disgusted after using the toilet, the seat was sticky, I showered and felt more dirty as the shower was DISGUSTING!!!

At around 9pm I asked to cancel the second night and get a refund, I’m super grateful for the service and the chance to receive a refund (as I see some people were not successful).

In all honesty, this place should be shut down. Or used for emergency...

This place was not what the photos say and no where near luxury.... Dirty and needing alot of maintenance! Parking is very small! Inside is not what the photos show, walls are dirty, marked up and dented and our room had a paper on the ceiling taped up, I guess to block a hole. Dirty curtains and windows/window sills. Bathroom is rusty and falling apart. No spare toilet paper. Out door spa is cold and yuck. Very un-inviting! Broken boards around the spa. Also have to fill it up yourself and empty afterwards. ( Which we didn't try.) Beds are hard and sheets are stained. Also the electric blanket on the bed was dangerous! The cord was in safe and broken! Could see the wires!! We did not use them. This place needs a big renovation and mantance to look like what it does on its website! This place is 0 stars!!!!...
