Wow I was blown away with this Hotel. It's very different from other Novotel I have stayed at. And I have to say it's a very boutique and cute hotel. But it's not haha. Hard to explain I recommend going . Room. I had a king room facing the road. No issues at all. The sound was not loud . The curtains are excellent for privacy and the room is so large you could fit another king bed in it. I was impressed. Also this was the best shower pressure I have had in a hotel and also drain system. No flooding . Was great. Cleaning of the room and service of the room was great and excellent very high standards also loved the cards they left in room to tell you who cleaned the room. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent the service and the product the offer for New Plymouth was also good. Meals also large. Breakfast buffet was very good as well. Carparking and access to hotel was also easy not a Hassel only thing is . Don't park to close to the elevator . It is very tight. Only thing I found interesting is that Housekeeping did know what I was saying or they really meant that they don't have shavers or shaving kits. Was interesting. Getting into hotel can be tricky if you are not coming from the North . I would recommend if you come from the city you should go past McDonald's through the intersection and go the back way around to get in as the highway only gives you seconds to cross 3 lanes. But other then that excellent stay and worth the time. Will return. Thanks Novotel .

I recently stayed at Novotel while attending the Engineering NZ Annual Dinner, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel offers a modern and comfortable environment with well-appointed rooms. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to local amenities and transport options, which made getting to the event hassle-free. The event space for the dinner was spacious and well-organized, with excellent catering and service. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for such a large gathering. On the downside, while the room was clean and comfortable, I did feel that the overall decor and furniture could use a bit of updating, as it looked slightly dated in certain areas. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection in my room was a bit inconsistent at times. Overall, I would definitely recommend Novotel for both business and leisure stays. The combination of good service, a convenient location, and decent facilities makes it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

We spent 3 nights in a 2x queen bed room. Room was spacious for 2 adults & 1 child. The staff were friendly and informative before and during our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet (definitely worth finding out if there's deals on as we got a cheaper rate for booking the day before compared to walk-in dining). The shower over bath situation could be improved as we were constantly getting water on the bathroom floor, as it was dripping down the glass. But we otherwise had an enjoyable stay. Novotel was an easy 10-20 minute walk from all the locations we visited, from the Festival of Lights at the park, to the coastal walkway and restaurants in the CBD. Countdown was conveniently just across the road. Parking underground was $20 per night, but if you were good on timing the parks out front/back were limited but free.

Dear Novotel New Plymouth Team,

We cannot recommend Novotel New Plymouth enough! From even before we stayed, everyone during the booking process was so helpful and made sure we got the best deal. Once we arrived, every member of our family was made to feel special, and the stuffed toys for the children was such a nice touch. From the front desk, to the restaurant, and housekeeping, everyone we interacted with was amazingly helpful, friendly, and truly went above and beyond. We cannot thank you all enough. Our family was celebrating our child's birthday, and it was the other family's first time in New Zealand, so all the care taken with those little details meant so much to us all. The rooms were spotless and well designed for small families with young children (There wasn't anything we had to worry about them knocking over) ! Using the free parking was easy enough, but it was so great to have the option of pay parking as well, had all the free spots been full. The breakfast was amazing. There was such variety and everyone in our family (from picky-eaters to allergy babies) were able to find something delicious to eat! They were also so accommodating to help us with a quick birthday cake celebration in the lobby lounge! We cannot thank you enough for the amazing experience. Way to go team! You are absolute perfection and the gold standard of...
