Cabañas Villas Lorena — Hotel in Bajo Boquete

The Cabanas Villas Lorena is a small family-owned complex of five mini apartments. Each unit has a living room-dining room, kitchen, and bathroom downstairs, and a bathroom and bedroom upstairs. There is a patio with a hammock that overlooks the lovely garden and the river bubbling over the rough riverbed just outside of the living room ... very soothing. They have a pair of "sofa beds" in the living room. The four-inch thick foam rubber mattresses on the "sofa-beds" are not comfortable enough for sleeping. The twin beds upstairs in our unit were quite comfortable. We first stayed there five years ago. At that time, our sleep was frequently disturbed by noisy vehicles crossing the small nearby bridge. I was in Boquete again in May, 2016. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the offending bridge is now closed, and a new bridge has been built farther down the river. Sleeping should be a delight now. This small complex is well located, a brief five or seven minute walk to the village of Boquete. Cabanas Villa Lorena is a twelve to fifteen minute walk from the sometimes-quirky-always-beautiful Mi Jardin Es Su Jardin (a private estate that is opened daily so the public can stroll the grounds.
