La Residencia by Villa Alejandro — Hotel in Jaramillo

Upon my arrival at the establishment, The Residence by Villa Alejandro, I noted the physical features & decor of the establishment proved better looking than the pictures.

I received a heartfelt warm welcome from Emilio. He represented The Residence, Villa Alejandro, very well in a professional capacity & manner, while at the same time greeting with a warm & genuine smile. He provided clear instructions e.g., the sharing of the kitchen, distance to the closest restaurant by foot, The Rock, etc, which was hugely appreciated. Emilio was able to answer all my queries with regards to events in the area & the general. He kindly ordered a taxi on my behalf after recommending a good restaurant & what an excellent choice of restaurant he had made too.

I apologise for not remembering the morning lady who would arrive to clean the property, do laundry & other miscellaneous duties. She too was extremely helpful in any queries I had. I had the pleasure to also encounter Jesus & his female colleague (forgive me for forgetting your name my dear), both assisted in my obtaining takeaway food at night when I was hungry & yes, I really did need their help, they were both wonderful. I would for sure recommend Fatima should one require a massage. Thank you Maria for the delicious coffee served with a warm & friendly smile. I enjoyed our chitchat

In summary, I felt very comfortable, the staff I encountered were all respectful, very polite and a joy to be around. To be honest, to me, I felt like I was with family bearing in mind I had travelled alone!

The internet was easy to connect to & the speed is fast. The kitchen is well equipped & is a full functioning kitchen & was kept clean at all times. To be fair, it does not take much to clean up after one has cooked, to be fair & considerate to others which I had no problems with.

The guests I encountered were wonderful & friendly, I was fortunate to have good talks.

The location of the property, in my view, is located in the right place. It is an easy walk to The Rock, to the right of the Property. Downtown is a great walk, especially when walking off food. I enjoyed the fact I could walk downtown to enjoy the hustle & bustle, but then to return to a quiet & serene establishment away from all the noise. The view walking from the Property to downtown is spectacular.

I have travelled many countries (lived & worked aboard twice) & stayed in many different types of hotels/residences & I can truly & honestly say The Residence by Villa Alejandro in Boquete is at the top of my list for a repeated stay.

The residence was clean & quiet but for the sweet serene sound of birds, “frogs” & other outdoor natural living creatures & the tranquil sound of water gushing in, out & through the beautifully handcrafted water-wheel. Take a seat outside in the immaculately kept garden amongst the trees & tropical flowers & let go of any stress & absorb the clean air & raw nature. All helped contribute towards my well-being.

The staff at Villa Alejandro gave a wealth of knowledge & information about what to do in Boquete. They are proud of Boquete which is telling too.

Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt von drei Nächten in "The Residence" of Villa Alejandro. The place is a bit outside of Boquete Downtown and has a really beautiful garden. There's a giant common living room and a shared kitchen we used a lot. Also the room we were in was big and had big TV with all the Channels (Disney, Netflix, Prime etc.). It's very clean and comfortable. A taxi to town is normally four dollars and during the day you can also walk. Nevertheless I can only give four stars due to two points, I want to constructively critizise: Frist of all, they never cleaned the room during our stay. Probably that's not the concept but I feel that for the high price, the room should be cleaned at least once during the stay of three nights. Also, we often found ourselves looking for someone of the reception to help, but noone was here. They always said they're here from 11am but appeared at 3pm. When we tried to contact via Whatsapp, they replied really late. So the communication part is a bit complicated at the residence. For the price you would expect a better service. We discovered this beautiful place via booking. We’ve stayed 2 nights at the riverside house. Unfortunately, I didn’t take the pictures of inside the villa, but you can enjoy a wonderful view on Baru volcano from the balcony and a river from the dining area. The territory is very well taken care off, everything is green and very clean. The bill itself has everything and even more that you need for your comfortable stay: it has a tiny kitchen (cutlery, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, wine glasses and a wine opener, fridge, electric stove, coffee-tea-sugar-creamer). They also proved 3 towels for each person, slippers and a bathrobe. Shampoo, hair con, soap, shower gel and hair dryer are also provided. I would like to notice that the place has air conditioning that seems not to be a common thing due to the climate in the area. The receptionist speaks perfect English and was kind enough to show and explain us everything. And it’s just 5 mins drive from the villa to Boquete city Center.
