Boquete Brewing Company — Restaurant in Bajo Boquete

Ordered 2 burgers. Gave clear instructions to squish only 1 burger because my father doesn't like hamburgers so tall/piled up with things. The food truck told me they would squish the pattie and the bread.

Received both burgers. BOTH patties were squished, and neither buns were even touched. They were apparently unable to take into consideration the fact they were squishing the patties when cooking them, so both patties ended up way over cooked, completely Grey on the inside, not even a hint of pink as it should be.

They used quality ingredients to produce something mediocre, solely because they could not underatand instructions. (I speak Fluent Spanish btw). The food experience could have been orders of magnitude better, though, I suspect this establishment's business plan is not to be a quality food eatabliment but rather, justa beer bar.

As for beer, excellent. Equal quality beers to that of any other other craft beers in panama.

This is a place that serves quality beer and just 'meh' food on the side for when your drunk.

I was really looking forward to visiting Boquete Brewing! I think your mileage may vary. Here's mine.

Staff - The guys working the two bars were fine. The lady working the main bar seemed irritated that any customers were arriving. I ordered a beer and then after pouring it she says it has a special price. $6+ not $3.75. I took a photo of the wall. No mention anywhere regarding a special price for anything on the wall.

Vibe - Overall a cool place. Good vibes and I think live music would be cool here. The only negative is that for some reason the generator outside kicked on midway through our visit. No idea why since all other establishments had power but maybe there was an issue. Minor thing really.

Food - Skip the food truck completely. Terrible. It's the equivalent to a Sysco truck. Premade burgers with no flavor, the worst fries I have ever had. I wish I had taken a photo to warn others.

Good local brewery. We visited 5 years earlier and to be honest it was a calmer experience and the actual brewers were there and great to talk to. It was just younger staff now who were nice enough but not as talkative to a non Spanish speaker. However, the beers remain great and they have a great selection in their fridge that you can choose from too. May 2023 Update: went in 3 times while back in Boquete for a month. The staff were a lot friendlier than our last visit, very helpful and cheerful. My only 2 criticisms is why half pints have to be so expensive, where I come from a half pint is literally half the price of a full pint! The only other thing is I don't see why the music has to be so loud so early in the afternoon. We want to have a conversation but end up having to shout at each other to be heard over the speakers. I can understand it later on or when live bands are on, but so early on seems...
