I've stayed here before and actually recommended it when I was coming to Panama City with a group of friends but I was very disappointed and embarrassed that we had so many issues. The first issue is the fact that the air conditioning did not work in three of the rooms but, miraculously, as soon as they called to tell them it didn't work, it came on. One of my friends went downstairs to the front desk and told them that her air conditioning wasn't working and the person behind the front desk pushed a button and of course when she went to her room the air conditioning was working so there's something not right with that system and the fact that they can control it from the front desk and why did they have it shut off? The other problem with that location is that their ice machines which do not make ice but which are supposed to be continually filled throughout the day with ice for guests was never filled it was always empty so we never had ice available to us. The third issue was the pillows because I don't know what this hotel has done with its other pillows but the pillows that they put on the beds are not even possible to lay your head on comfortably they're flat and they're hard and they're just ridiculous. Although this is the location that I like in Panama City, I will go back to staying at Coral Suites from this point forward. I never had any of these problems at the coral suites, and although they are $20 more per night, they offer a swimming pool and a full kitchen so that's where I'll stay the next time I come to Panama City. Like I said I'm very disappointed and very embarrassed that I recommended this location and we ended up having these problems as well as other problems that a couple other people had in the group that I'm sure they will address in...
Read more2021 This review is currently only about the nice people who work there and the breakfast. I've walked past Hotel Milan many times and wondered what it was like inside. I checked it out today and I think I'm going to stay tonight. The people at the desk we're very happy to show me a room it was good size and even had a little loveseat. I then went back downstairs to the restaurant. It's got a cool 50s type counter but I chose to eat at the table by the window so I can see the world going by. I had scrambled eggs with onions and bacon very good. 2025 once again I have returned to the Milan Hotel. I've just completed a four evening stay. The. staff and rooms are wonderful. I find the highest value here. The restaurant next door has continued to please me and provide me with good nourishment at a fair price. Open till 10:00 p.m. they have a nice selection of liquor at a wonderful price. It's not your typical Panama bar it's just a good place to hang out and meet some quality people which I've done several times. Last but not least the management is outstanding, I forgot a document in my room, they notified me through the broker service and are holding it for me when I return back to the city. So helpful, I'm constantly amazed and have great gratitude for the people of Panama. Please look up my other level 8 Google reviews there are over 7,500,000 views. All for fun and free I just want to know a good place to go and I have to give that back to...
Read moreConstruction site right beside it. Double size bed is 137cm wide (not even queen size), batteries of safe drained and are not replaced in two (work)days, sink in the bathtub also not working and not fixed. AC turned of remotely (without telling the guests) at the reception frequently and not turned back on when guests come back. When reported a guy came up and acted like he was doing something and "repaired" it (implying it was my fault I couldn't switch it on when in fact the cut of the current). We got it when we asked roomservice the next day to turn it on and they called the reception from our room to do it. On a side note: when working it's to loud to keep it one while sleeping. We also had major problem communicating with the staff who didn't understand words like "safe/Tresor, hop on hop off bus or air condition". According to the manager they all speak basic English which obviously does not include these "sophisticated" vocabulary. Management answer was "well do you know hop on hop off in Spanish" which is a pretty ridiculous think to ask since I am not the one working at the reception in a hotel which hosts mostly Spanish speaking guests. The only the only reaction we got was "put it in your review". Checking the other reviews: the good reviews seems to be all from people living in Panama which is a weird coincidence and raises the question of...
