My recent breakfast adventure at Annie and Motte's Eating House in Panama City was a delightful journey into the realm of exquisite pancakes. Opting for a classic combo of scrambled eggs and a towering stack of pancakes, I found myself immersed in a symphony of flavors and textures.
While the scrambled eggs were satisfactory, it was the pancakes that truly stole the spotlight. Fluffy, golden, and cooked to perfection, each bite was a heavenly indulgence. The generous portion left me unable to conquer the entire stack, a testament to their size and irresistible taste.
Despite the pancake perfection, I yearned for a touch of freshness on the plate – perhaps some fruit or garnish to elevate the experience further. Nevertheless, this minor omission did little to diminish the overall culinary delight.
In conclusion, Annie and Motte's Eating House is a haven for pancake aficionados in Panama City. With their unparalleled dedication to pancake perfection, it's a breakfast destination that promises to satiate your cravings and leave you...
Read moreI visited Annie's after looking at the reviews online. A 15-20 minute walk from where I am staying. Greeted by a friendly waitress and allowed to sit anywhere. I was promptly brought a menu and decided on a grilled chicken and salad dinner. DELICIOUS! I also had a matcha green tea, and for dessert, a slice of carrot cake, also tasty. Overall, it was a great dinner in a nice ssurroundings. I definitely will return before I leave Panama City. *Follow up review. Oh well, I guess I deserve it. I "over tipped," and that was a mistake. I left 20% on my first tab (Chicago standard). The second time, I left 20% even though the waiter made an honest mistake. He left before I finished, and another wait person, female, picked up his tip. I came back a third time and got the same male waiter. My bill was less, but I still was leaving 20% tip. He held up my change and yelled, "Tip?" That truly pissed me off. If he had kept my change, it would've been 35% tip. NO WAY. I still left 20%, but I crossed this place off my list....
Read moreAMAZING!! First this place is soooo aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely love the music, style, and overall layout of this cute little cafe. Secondly, the service is sooo amazing. Everyone is soo kind and very accommodating/attentive. Thirdly and most importantly, the food is sooo delicious. They have the BEST pancakes I’ve ever tasted. I usually hate pancakes/syrup and I came back the next day solely for the pancakes (and they don’t need syrup imo). The candied pecan and bananas def took it to the next level. I also had the ranchero tostada (I think that’s what it’s called) and it was soo delicious and so pretty to look at lol. They have some of the best sausages I’ve ever had. I also, had a matcha which was pretty good. They are super affordable and totally worth a visit. This was one of my fav places to visit while I vacationed in Panama. Will for sure give them another visit next time I travel. Really wish they had a location near me. My fav café...
