Hostal Goya Andina — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

I want to preface this by noting that the hostel was undergoing renovation at the time of my stay, so some aspects may be better. My stay there was definitely not bad--Luis, the owner, is a fantastic guy who works very hard and is very accommodating. His colleagues are nice but were sometimes hard to find. The room itself was as advertised, so no problem there. The two aspects that were a bit challenging were the pillows (very lumpy--hopefully they're being replaced) and the room temperature. It was quite cold at night, and although I was given a heater, it wasn't that effective and gave off more light than the lamps in the room, which made it a bit difficult to sleep. We stayed here before our Inca treck and were extremely happy with how friendly the host was. He made everything easy and went out of his way to make sure we were okay and whether we needed anything. We were so pleased with our stay we decided to stay after our treck as well. |On our last day we checked out and had a night bus that night so had a bit of time to kill, we came back and relaxed in the lobby for a bit and he offered us our same room to stay in until our bus that night as it had not been booked. This was extremely thoughtful and really went a long way! |The shower had amazing pressure and was really hot and the room was spacious with a great heater. |Would highly reccomened!...

We paid 80 PEN/night for a few nights in a homey double bedroom & private bathroom with hot shower. Location was central (at the edge of the charming San Blas neighborhood), quiet enough for a city, and walking distance from everything we needed and wanted to see. ||The building is unmarked so we had to ask a kiosko where it was.
