Amazing views, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing staff.
The service here is great and all the food options were phenomenal. (And the ones we didn't get but saw looked amazing).
We got the leche de tigrese trout, and anticuchos (traditional charcoal grill beef heart), with Chicha morada (local juice w boiled purple corn, pineapple juice, and a hint of cinnamon).
I also got the Lumbus (experimental) bitter, a bitter based Pisco drink (tasted amazing and served in a bowl of ice with a light to make it extra fancy).
Something else that caught our eye was the Steak Skewer, it was huge and smelled great from 3 tables away.
You can tell the staff here love their jobs! The crew was very friendly and the location is very covid aware (note I requested a quick photo of the team with masks off, they removed it for only a moment).
One thing that stood out to me is that all the staff had tongs to deal with bio waste, napkins, garbage etc so they didn't have to use their hands.
They were very attentive and helped us take pictures and made sure we were happy :)
I wish I would have tried the beer. They have 3-4 separate craft beer tank setups in the restaurant, you can see them in the pictures I uploaded. 2 on the main floor, and one on the...
Read moreSomeone had recommended this place during my stay in Cusco. I visited late night on my last night here and after trekking up Machu Picchu. I was so tired and when my Uber dropped me off and I had to climb up a few stairs to get there I almost decided not to go. I'm so glad I endured. As soon as I entered the scene was lively, and I had a "Calgon take me away moment". This restaurant quite possibly offers the BEST view of the city, especially at night, so there weren't any tables available. We were seated at the bar, but the view was still amazing. The weather was really chilly but they had heaters placed properly around to knock the chill off. The waiters and bartenders were nothing short of perfection. They were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient. I had planned on ordering a couple of appetizers and drinks, but the kitchen closed before I could make my second order. I ordered the Perfect Ceviche Duo with the Cocaine cocktail. My friend ordered the Tallarin Saltado with Chicken and the same drink. Both my appetizer and drink were delicious. I so wish I had gotten to try at least one more dish. I HIGHLY recommend you trying this place out while in Cusco,...
Read moreI haven’t tried every restaurant in Cusco, but Limbus has to have one of the very best views in the city. With the mountains as a backdrop and a carpet of red rooftops below, the setting is simply stunning! While there’s plenty of seating indoors, the terrace is where you’ll find the most breathtaking views. Just a tip—dress in layers and be ready for the weather to change quickly. It can shift from sunny and warm to windy and chilly in a matter of minutes, even within the same meal.
The food, however, was every bit as memorable as the view—maybe even better! I ordered the Causa Acevichada and my friend had the Tiradito Asalmonado. Both dishes were technically starters, but they were generous enough to feel like full meals. The cocktails were equally impressive—creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. (Yes, even a Barbie-themed cocktail—check out the photos!)
Finally, I have to highlight the service. Our waiter, Julius Cesar (yes, really!), was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like we were the most important guests in the restaurant.
All in all, Limbus is an experience not to miss in Cusco—for the view, the food, the drinks, and the...
