The owners greeted us as soon as we arrived for our late check in. This was nice and comforting. As soon as we got to our room #304 I 'm not sure what I was thinking, but based off the reviews I did expect more cleanliness. The sheets and bedspread was a little dirtier than my liking and mold in the bathroom ceiling. However, despite this they did provide hot running water was very much needed and (kind of) clean towels so we could dry off. The views in the morning faced the mountains so that was a nice treat. We woke up at 6am so we could get a head start to check out but, the owners nor help were no where to be found. To say the least, I think Huaraz is a sleepy kind of hikers town and eventually I ran into the owner just as I was getting picked up for my Santa Cruz Trek so I could check out. I provided the owner my mastercard so I could check out and even though every stick in their window promoted the MC logo, including Amex, she would not accept my card and insisted Visa. Read moreStayed here 5 nights while doing day hikes in the region and then again after a multi-day hike. Staff were friendly and very helpful, making restaurant recommendations, keeping the tea thermos filled with hot water, and allowing us to store our bags while away. The breakfast was very good and the rooftop setting was fabulous! Snow-capped mountains in the distance and lovely hills to the west to frame golden sunsets. Basic room, comfortable bed, hot water, and cable coverage that included several sports stations for our evening entertainment. Lighting in the room not very bright. We were able to use their rooftop laundry facility. Location is close to main plaza but quiet. Really felt at home. A good base for adventuring in the Cordillera...

We've got a very nice double room on the 2nd floor with a window (which made us happy after the previous hotel in Cusco) and good bathroom. We had hot water in shower all the time during our stay. Hair-dryer, express laundry service (6 soles per kilo) - everything we needed was provided to us.||We were quite happy with our breakfast (on a roof terrace with a nice mountain view) - scrambled eggs, local cheese, juice, fruits, fried cheese rolls with guacamole, etc. ||Staff was friendly and very helpful. When our flight to Lima was cancelled and we missed early bus to Huaraz, the owners didn't charge us for the missed night in the hotel. I highly...
