What a incredibly well run family hotel, in a mountain town surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.||We stayed here for 5 nights, spending our days in the Cordillera Blanco on day excursions hiking through the mountains.||After a full day of hiking, there is nothing more satisfying than returning to a hotel room with warm showers, comfy beds and Netflix on a flat screen.||The owners were some of the most accommodating hosts we have ever encountered. ||From what I could decider, the eldest son was the manger. Always friendly, happy and on top of his game. He would go out of his way to please his guests and whether it be morning, afternoon or night he was always available and on call.||When we asked about Netflix the manager told us he would install it when we went out that morning. Sure enough, when we returned to our freshly cleaned rooms, Netflix was on our TV.||When we then turned up 15 minutes early for breakfast the next morning, there was no complaint, they were more than happy to accomodate us without prior warning and we received a full buffet breakfast earlier than scheduled.||Once again, we were blown away by this families hospitality when they allowed us not just a late check out, but they gave us the room till 7pm the next day as our bus didn’t leave till 9pm. I can honestly say no hotel I have ever stayed at has done this without charge.||Every time we thought that the service here couldn’t be topped the owners went above and beyond and proved us wrong. ||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend to anyone we knew who was travelling to Huaraz and would most certainly return in the future.||Thank you for an incredible experience, we will be...
Read moreFriendly and very helpful staff made our stay in Huaraz very enjoyable. They helped with everything we needed and made sure we rested comfortably. Especially before and after our trek. They boiled eggs for our trek in Santa Cruz and also prepared hot drinks whenever we asked. Moreover, we had fresh clean towels everyday and after our trek we were able to take a shower without any extra charges (even though we didn't stay there later on). DELICIOUS breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, soft avocado, and scrumbles eggs - all much more than usual Peruvian breakfast served in other places. Finally, perfect location made it easy to explore main areas of Huaraz, arrange trips, and it's very close to the food corner adored by all tourists. If you plan to trek in this area, Ebony Hotel will help you quickly recover from tiredness! Highly...
Read moreLocated right next to the main square/Plaza de Armas, the Ebony Hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was a quick 5-10 minute taxi ride from the Cruz del Sur bus terminal and upon arrival, I was able to locate several travel agencies to help book my hiking treks. The hotel was also perfect for souvenir shopping as around the corner were several shops. I only wished the hotel restaurant was open for lunch/dinner, but there's plenty of restaurants and markets nearby to get some local food without needing to get a taxi. The rooms were comfortable and I was happy to find a hotel in Huaraz where the hot water was working. The wifi was best here compared to 2 other hotels I used in Huaraz. Overall, I had a great stay and have no hesitations to coming back and staying at...
