I dreamed about coming back to this place after four years! Who would have known a little restaurant made with a lot of love in a little town would be such an incredible food experience! Pierre and his wife have survived the pandemic by moving locations but losing none of that amazing taste and portion you crave after a long hike. He even staid open late to accommodate us after our bus from Lima arrived late. Highly recommend the yellow curry! LOVE THESE PEOPLE

The curries here are great! Enormous portions, too. The pisco sours are 35 soles for a litre - and I highly recommend enjoying them under an umbrella on a table in the square. The wifi is good, too! Here's a top tip - for those travellers unused (after spending a length of time in South America eating local food) to spicy food? In this restaurant "spicy" actually means spicy. Keep the yoghurt handy. ;]

There was several vegan option for every dish (3 types of Thai curry, several Indian curries and fajitas) with tofu and veggies. We had the tofu korma which was possibly the best korma I’ve ever had. It was confirmed vegan, made with coconut milk and cashews. We also had the fajitas - vegan if you ask without the cheese and sour cream. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately they refused to give me the vindaloo claiming it's too spicy for me and instead gave me something medium hot which was the tikka masala.. surprise surprise, it was not spicy at all! Tasted average, not good, not bad but I was disappointed because it was not cheap and I'd rather have what I want. They don't know I eat birds eye pepper chillies for dessert even though I told them I can handle the vindaloo.. sigh... I know the waiter is just looking out for me in case I died from overheating but if you can handle spicy food I advice to go against their wishes and to just order the vindaloo. Also lots of difficulty communicating with the waiter. The service was not bad it's just that I was told No too many times because of lack of listening, I said I want to order an extra egg on the side and was just straight out told no. Then later after 3 minutes of trying to translate he understood and said ok but maybe try to understand before saying no next time, it's not a great feeling as a customer. Overall slightly overpriced, food is ok but service can...

I was disappointed with my experience in this restaurant. The first visit I sat down and was totally ignored. 15 minutes (I timed it) no one had come to the table, I left. Minus one star.

I decided to try again. Service was quicker, and I managed to order a vindaloo. It took just under an hour to arrive at the table. The curry was a disappointment. It was nothing like I have eaten in Indian restaurants. Instead of large pieces of chicken cooked in a blended sauce, there were small pieces of chicken mixed in with lumps of vegetables, onions and tomatoes. Dried almost whole chilies were liberally included, making it overwhelmingly spicy. I couldn't taste any Indian spices, and it had a slightly bitter taste. Minus one star.

As the restaurant is very popular, maybe I just had a bad sample. I also felt the price of 36 or 38 soles...

I had Lomo fino vindaloo and loved it! I've been in South America for seven months and I think it's the best curry I've had here. It was still quite different to an English curry but it was really tasty and the spice level was similar which was a nice surprise! My girlfriend had tofu rogan josh and she loved that too.

We also got a jug of pisco sour which was super tasty and reasonably priced. Everyone who served us was really friendly and made us feel at home.

We were slightly worried about the waiting time looking at other reviews but the food came out reasonably quickly.

I will be back for the phal...
