We walked around the town for over an hour looking into different hostels and ended up deciding on this one. There is air conditioning, hot showers, towels, and wifi. The wifi is not super strong but you aren't going to find anything better in Iquitos. We stayed here for over a week and never had any issues. We even became great friends with some of the staff, who are always there to help. There is a gate that is locked at all times (staff is always there to open it) which is nice for security. Also the location is about two blocks away from the town center, so there is no need to take a mototaxi to get downtown. I would highly recommend this place to stay somewhere affordably...

When we arrived the front desk spoke no english whatsoever, and I understand that as we are in Peru. However, the desk clerk being rude and uncooperative is another thing and is not acceptable. We then discovered that they would not honour the booking price and raised the daily rate, also not acceptable. So if you are not looking for rude staff and getting ripped off, the book somewhere else. We've stayed in a lot of hotels in quite a few different countries and have never encountered anything...

The rooms have air-conditioning which is rare at this price in Iquitos, the security is very good with a gate so you have to be buzzed in and the staff are super friendly.
