Nativo Hotel — Hotel in Iquitos

It started with the quick response from the staff when I booked the room online and requested a shuttle from the airport! Same-day response and our guy, Michael, was on time, kind, and pointed out highlights of Iquitos as we drove to the hotel.||The hotel was more than expected in value and for us, PERFECT - rooftop view of the entire city and the pool was a lovely break from the heat!! Breakfast was handmade in front of you every morning in the kitchen downstairs! The staff throughout the entire process was amazing! The location was great as it was close to Plaza de Armas and a mercado was just around the corner! We will stay here again when we return. Pleasant surprise! Hotel with high potential, but not maintained to the correct standard. I stayed here, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless there are no better options. Pretty dirty and with humidity spots on the walls and ceiling in the room. There is a small pool on the roof where anyone can go, not just clients and I found it to have very dirty water which you can see when the pool lights are on. Also, a lot of dust and lack on maintenance in the lobby etc. there are a lot of areas that shouldn’t be visible to the public, Like the energy generator, the staff rooms, laundry, which you can spot right before getting to the pool. They could do everything imaginable, offer spacious, clean rooms, refrigerators, extra toels and more, put a small (very small) pool on the rooftop but nothing will make up for the awful noise coming from the street. This town is filled with tuk tuks and| motorcycles, and the hotel is on a major thoroughfare, making it impossible to get a quiet night's sleep. Have you ever heard a motorcycle in the muddle if the night? Multiply that by an endless stream of bikes on the road below and you will get the idea of what's in store for you.
