El Rincón de Bigote — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

Extremely disappointed. My husband and I went there for lunch today. 1st they give us a table way in the back when they had 2 other tables open, from the start horrible customer service, gets worse, the lady takes the order and from the order we only got the sodas and the ceviche de pescado, the yucca frita and picante de mariscos we never got them, when I asked the waitress with attitude respond to me that is going to take time, please keep in mind that we are already waiting for 30min, what I saw is they are more worried about to take care the delivery orders and lack good service to the customers in their restaurant. I will never recommend this place to anybody.

Huge attitude from the waitress and huge lack of...

Vimos el lugar mientras caminábamos, y como hacía tiempo que no comíamos ceviche, decidimos parar. El pequeño espacio tipo restaurante de comida rápida estaba lleno de gente. Pudimos conseguir una mesa rápidamente y pedimos nuestra comida. Champiñones como aperitivo y ceviche mixto y parihuela como plato principal. El ceviche estuvo bueno. Nada frito y mucho pulpo, camarones, calamares, músculos y pescado. Un poco demasiado salado para mi preferencia, pero por lo demás sabroso. La parihuela tenía mucho marisco, incluido medio cangrejo, pero la salsa no era de mi agrado. Más bien una salsa espesa y gelificada que una sopa. La camarera era buena en su trabajo y moviéndose por el pequeño espacio.

We saw the place while walking, and since we hadn't had ceviche in a while, we decided to stop in. The tiny, fast-food restaurant type space was filled with people. We were able to get a table quickly, and ordered our food. Mushrooms for an appetizer and the ceviche mixto and parihuela for the main course. The ceviche was good. Nothing fried, and lots of octopus, shrimp, squid, muscles and fish. A little too salty for my preference, but otherwise tasty. The parihuela had a lot seafood in it, including half of a crab, but the sauce was not to my liking. More like a thick gelly-gravy than a soup. The waitress was good at her job and in moving around...

Sin decir nada nuevo, Perú ofrece una gastronomía no solo con sabores intensos, diferentes entre sí, y a base de diferentes cosas que comemos a diario en nuestras vidas pero asegurando que nunca de la forma y con el sabor de aquí. Ese “algo distinto” que podemos acreditárselo a la materia prima o a las manos de quien lo hace, es lo que vamos a encontrar en este pequeño, humilde y hermoso sitio. Un restaurant que a simple vista si no eres de aquí, pasas de largo…. Pero si tienes la suerte como la he tenido yo, que me han recomendado venir, sin dudas comerás COMIDA PERUANA. Un sitio fuera de serie. Estoy visitando sitios muy chulos, diferentes fusiones, categorías y servicios, pero sin dudas el Rincón de Bigote es el sitio de los que a mi particularmente me gustan. Pequeño, un tanto escondido por disimula bastante bien, familiar, ameno, y atendido por sus dueños que te sirven su acotada carta pero lugar a dudas por algo es así. Amor dedicado a esos platos que te aseguro, quedarán en tus recuerdos. Si vienes aquí, sácate todas las fotos que puedas por que te gustará recordarlo y revivirlo...
