If I were more inland, I would give this 3 or 4 stars, but considering that the ocean is almost literally in view, I was highly disappointed.
My wife and I got the "No. 1 platter", something like that. A chef's choice of sashimi, maki, and sushi rolls. The sashimi was shrimp, tuna, salmon, and octopus; extremely familiar if you've ever been to a generic sushi restaurant (in the US at least). The maki was literally the same shrimp, tuna, salmon, and octopus, with the addition of a white fish. This might as well been straight out of a Sysco brochure.
The 4 different rolls were all variations of fried shrimp and avocado, the main differences being in the toppings. The different toppings were the only saving grace in this meal. While I personally didn't like the cheese topping, I respect the novelty of it; perhaps the only thing unique about our meal.
We also got the grilled pork dumplings. Again, extremely familiar recipe reminiscent of a Sysco offering.
This would all be acceptable if it were priced appropriately, but this is a fairly expensive restaurant. With all the incredible seafood in Lima, this restaurant, in my opinion, has dropped the ball.
Atmosphere is great (reflective of the price). Service is okay. We had to ask for our drinks after half of the meal was already served.

Read moreThis place came highly recommended by a few people but we found it very disappointing, possibly the worst sushi I have ever had.
The maguro nigiri was cut very poorly and the rice was sloppy and it lacked any wasabi. Almost all the maki rolls were reverse rolls and had breaded shrimp in the Center with some variation of fish laid on top with a ton of sauce.
The rolls were ordered had the rice packed very densely like supermarket sushi and the rolls were oblong and not round; just sloppy. They were all covered in this thick and heavy garlicky sesame sauce that was really unpleasant and there was no ginger or wasabi anywhere to be found.
This was my first time having sushi in Peru, so I don’t know if this is just a well executed Peruvian take on sushi that wasn’t what I wanted or if it was just bad by Peruvian standards too; either way I wouldn’t recommend it :/
The other dishes looked more promising and the staff were very friendly and the restaurant itself was very beautiful. If someone took me back, I’d tag along to try something else but I’d never order the...
Read moreWhat a miserable experience. The meal was bad and VERY expensive - the most expensive meal I had in Lima during a time of trying some rather high end restaurants. The sushi were the best part, but they were mostly rice and very stingy on the fish. They didn't have much of a variety of fish to choose from either. I tried to order the one roll that didn't say it had cream cheese in it, but it came with some cream cheese on top. Revolting! I was hoping that my cucumber salad would be a savior, it was drenched in so much sauce and oil I had to wipe each piece of cucumber off to not be eating an oil bath. A pot of Sencha tea, which was promising, was of the highest quality tea, but the water was too hot and scalded the tea, and they put enough tea into the pot for at least 4 pots of tea so it became bitter very quickly. The restaurant was attractive and clean, and the staff was average. I left feeling a bit ill and spent nearly 200 PEN to get that way. I should have had a 35 PEN burger...
