We booked Hotel Antigua for 3 visits during our visit to Peru. On arrival, between destinations and at the end of our stay before heading home. They organised all of our airport transfers without any issues. Always on time. From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed by the all staff and made to feel at home instantly. The whole hotel felt like a big home rather than a hotel stay. It was such a charming place to stay and had such character with a Peruvian touch (unlike modern hotels) and located in central Miraflores, easy walking distance to everywhere inclusive of supermarket, tourist information centre, bank, ATMs and a range of restaurants, cafes, tourist hot spots and to the seaside. We did not feel as if we were staying in the middle of a busy city. It is located in a very safe ( a gate guard ) and quite area. Nothing was ever a problem and always met us with a smile and amazing service. They moved our luggage to our rooms for us without expectation of tips, although we did give them. There is a lovely courtyard outside the front of reception to enjoy a meal, drink or cuppa. Our rooms were different each time we stayed. Sometimes small, sometimes large but each room was very comfortable. they also provided filtered water in each room and the facility to top up from a drinking fountain found on each floor. Breakfast was not a huge range but more than enough, delicious, fresh and well displayed. We were so glad to be back to Antigua on every visit. If we ever have the chance to visit Lima again, this is going to be our...

There is a great front patio to relax in and get off the street, and two inner courtyards most of the rooms look into. The front desk staff is amazing and so helpful and friendly. Diego in the bar was amazing and makes the best pisco sours we had all trip. The breakfast is fantastic. They have some nice small benefits also like bottled water at the end of each hallway. If you like historic inns, this is a great pick for you and just 6 blocks from Kennedy Park in a safe and nice neighborhood.
I have two teenage boys who are much more into outdoor adventure than visiting museums. However, we felt like we should visit at least one museum during our trip to Peru and picked the Larco Museum. It was a great choice and we all really enjoyed it. The collection is very impressive and displayed in an easy to appreciate manner. Signs are provided in 6 languages including English for each display. In addition to the collections, the grounds themselves are quite nice. We spent about 2 hours there in total. We took Uber from our hotel both directions, which was very easy. There were a decent number of people there, but it was not...

Spoke to us in English, us in limited Spanish and some good body language. Interesting hotel, early 20th century, no elevator, had help with heavy bags taken to 2nd floor. Room a little small for 3 but nice decor with complimentary water available. They provide a nice morning breakfast until 10:00 which we enjoyed every morning with slight variations on main entrees. Excellent baked products, introduced to scalding hot milk for coffee new to us, now doing at home Returned again on January 19th after touring Peru. This time on 3rd floor (still no elevator) 42 steps to beautiful roof top area and much bigger room. Enjoyed rooftop every day, peaceful to read, have a drink with guests also visiting Peru. Only 4 rooms on top floor and had rooftop patio area to ourselves. Had late leaving flight home 2:00 am arranged to keep room until 7:00 pm and they moved luggage and stored until we left at 10:00 pm. really enjoyed stay and staff felt very comfortable and safe only thing missing for us was a pool!
