Blu Hotel Boutique — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

We stayed one night end of November 23. While my girlfriend and I were out in town, a valve in the bathroom broke and flooded our entire room. All of our belongings got fully soaked under water, leading to full damage of electronic devices, presents, etc. We got transferred into a smaller room without any windows or any chance of getting fresh air inside. We prepared a list with damaged goods, including pictures, prices etc in order to get a refund. The hotel, which does not have insurance, first refused to pay anything right away although the damages were obvious and clear (I even filmed the broken valve when I entered the room) but the manager eventually agreed to refund us the damages, provided that we can send them an assessment for the damage of the electronic devices. I asked for a confirmation about the incident which they kind of prepared with vague wording. We immediately got the assessment from the local apple shop back in Europe according to which the devices were damaged beyond repair due to water damage. We sent the technical assessment to the Hotel, kindly requesting - as agreed - refund. Since then, no response. I sent multiple reminders and follow-ups but there is no response whatsoever. So to us, this is a fraudulent hotel which should not be visited and which may only respond to a lawyer's...

Bathroom had mold in it, especially on the silicone. The water was low pressure, didn't feel like a shower. They were reconstructing the room across, where they made a lot of noice, even till 22h30. During the day, you also couldn't relax because of it. Also really bad wifi, even lost from boon till midnight and there is no mobile service available in our room, so data was not An option. Included breakfast is really basic, coffee wasn't great, no options for breakfast as well. Luggage storage, although available, they were keen on their tags. Bags needed you be tied together.

Lovely place to stay in Miraflores, close to a bunch of wonderful restaurants. Walking distance from Kennedy Park, Larcomar Mall and the Indian Market. Room was very comfortable, amazing bed and good shower. There was a coffee machine in the room as well and they offered tea and biscuits in the lobby.
