Hotel Ferre Miraflores — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

The location of this hotel is in a perfect location. 5 min walk to the main road and next to the malecon. |Safe area close to bars, restaurants, shopping. |Reception was good, spoke good english and was nice. I was able to put my bags in storage after check out. |They have a restaurant, but when i went up to the 7 th floor, it was completely vacant and outdated. I was hungry after my flight and when i asked for the fish , i was told they don’t have any. I wanted a latte and the cook said that it was not possible. |Continental breakfast was good, scramble eggs, toast, fruit and pancakes. |I also had the hotel organize a transfer from the airport to the hotel which was great. He met me right after baggage with a sign with my name. |The room was nice, showers were hot and the pressure was good. |Air conditioning and comfortable bed. |They ask you to leave them the key when you leave the hotel. I’m not sure why. I didn’t really like that aspect since i have important documents and electronics in the hotel room. |overall...

Ambushed charges. We booked my 30th birthday trip to South America through a travel agency. We arrived at 7 am got to the hotel around 9 and understandably our 2 rooms were not ready. Not a big a deal. They told us it would be an hour and TOLD us to go to the 7th floor for breakfast while we wait. Came back and it was another 1.5 hour before one of our two rooms were ready. Again not a big deal since our agency booked a hote were the check in was later than our arrival. BUT. 3 days later they charged us for said breakfast. The breakfast they told us to have. Their reasoning was because we weren't checked in to the hotel so their cold complementary breakfast wasn’t complementary. Excellent hotel in a very good location - withing 5 minutes walking distance to the Pacific Ocean and to one of Lima's commercial centres (Larcomar). Nice and friendly staff at the reception, trying to help you as best as possible with your requests. Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated, and also very clean and quiet. We especially appreciated the heater in the room, which did its job very well. The bathroom was equally spacious and nicely equipped with toiletries. Good restaurant on the top floor, although not well indicated when you get off the elevator; also, the elevator does not go, only until the floor just below the restaurant, thus you need to climb the stairs 1 floor.
