Check in was hectic, somewhat disorganized, staff spoke very little English which was ok for us because we spoke Spanish, but it was rough on some other patrons. Front desk was not helpful at all. They sell room temperature water, but you must have exact change as they do not have any. Also, and the biggest issue I had with this hotel was the lack of wifi in the rooms. They only offer wifi in the lobby. That means everyone is crowding in the lobby trying to get emails, messages, talking on phones, video chatting, etc. That is chaotic. It is such a mistake by management not to have wifi complimentary in the rooms too. Otherwise, the few hours I actually got to spend in the room were nice. Wish I could have slept for longer than 4 hrs, but had to have internet to back up all my photos I had taken that day to make room for the next day at Machu Picchu. Make sure to ask for a room on the river. It is stunning. Unfortunately, wifi in the rooms is a requirement for me, so I will not be...

It has small rooms that are clean and well maintained the staff is very attentive to ones needs and very informative. Any one with a little common sence can figure out that you cannot get a five star hotel for sixty USD. Its a great place...
Read moreOur agency booked this hotel for us. The bed was comfortable, the bedding provided enough warmth for a room with no heat. The shower was hot and had the most pressure of all the hotels we’ve been in over the past 4 weeks. There was soap AND shampoo offered ( a rarity this trip). Breakfast starts at 4:15. A decent enough selection- scrambled eggs, pancakes, lemon loaf, bread, variety of fruits, cereal and yogurt. Coffee and tea. Nice balcony to view the river and mountains. A table and chairs to eat or do some changes to your travel plans and your tablet. Our bags were stored for us while we did the trip up to Machu Picchu. My only negative is that the room is quite dark even with all the lights on, but really that’s not an issue. |Our room was in the back facing the river. I would think that would be preferable to facing the...
