La posada de Olger — Hotel in Machu Picchu

Stayed at this property through Airbnb. Internet does not work in the rooms. I needed to work downstairs in the breakfast room which I did one day and apparently my kids and I being visible and utilizing a space after it had already been cleaned for the day was such a hassle to the employees they felt the need to lie to me the next day saying that I couldn't work downstairs because the owner was coming. (Yes my kids did leave some crumbs on the floor which I immediately swept up, so I have no idea what could possibly have been so upsetting). Then when called on their lies they found it acceptable to yell at me in front of my children and tell me to leave if I don't like the way they are treating me. Yes, later one of the two employees apologized, but it was an awful experience which I will not soon forget. I could not understand how any employee could behave that way towards a guest, especially because we had been talking nicely together just 5 minutes previously, and I never even received any acknowledgement upon messaging the owner. Would NEVER recommend this place, especially not to a person of color...

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Großes, komfortables Zimmer mit ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten. Gute Dusche mit warmem Wasser. Gute Lage mitten im Ort. Frühstücksbuffet mit Brötchen, Marmelade, Butter und Käse eher basic, aber absolut ausreichend und geschmacklich gut. Frühstück schon ab 4:30 Uhr möglich, für den Besuch von Machu Picchu perfekt. Einziges Manko ist die Hellhörigkeit und Lautstärke am Morgen. Andere Gäste waren sehr früh am Morgen sehr laut und haben uns geweckt, leider hat der Gastgeber nicht für Ruhe gesorgt. Hier hätten wir vom Gastgeber erwartet, dass er um Ruhe bittet und darauf hinweist, dass andere Gäste evtl. noch schlafen. Außerdem läuft an der Rezeption ständig ein Fernseher relativ laut, den man auch im Zimmer im ersten Stock hören kann, da alles komplett offen und ohne Wände/Türen ist. Das Wlan war nicht besonders gut. Laut Gastgeber ist das im gesamten Ort so, das konnten wir aber nicht prüfen. Außerdem hatte das Zimmer keine Fenster, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, ist das aber...

Staff was rude. Hot water does not work 100% of the time. Taxes are not included in final fare. TV without remote control. Breakfast was not on time. The door room was broken so it was not isolated from the noise. Overall, customer service was just terrible, avoid this...
