Rating for experience spending a night at Mapi Gardens (not their restaurant food): 🚂 Mapi Gardens = near the train station (which is convenient! but) it was harder to sleep at night due to noise (of trains and at times foot traffic) 🌟 we booked a night through Booking.com, thinking we already paid with card—we were asked to pay when we arrived and didn’t expect it; it was a 10% upcharge to pay with card (so cash is better if you have it). pros: GREAT shower (warm water & lots of it), nice beds, capacity to check in bags for many hours after your checkout time.

El hotel esta a pasos de la estación de tren saliendo de la feria de artesanías a la Derecha, es la calle que bordea la estación de Tren. El lugar tiene 4 pisos por escalera, y bastantes habitaciones internas. tenerlo en cuenta al momento de solicitar la reserva! Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y bien simples. Cama colchón almohada muy buena, la ducha tira buena cantidad de agua caliente. Abajo tiene un restaurante de nivel con precios medios, no cenamos pero parecía muuy lindo, y durante la mañana se sirve el desayuno allí. Como salimos antes de las 6am para subir a Machupicchu, nos prepararon una vianda con sandwich, barra de quinoa, galletas y un agua de 700ml! Jorge el recepcionista nos atendió muy bien. Gracias!

Buen lugar para pasar un par de noches ahí. La ubicación es genial, sin embargo, justo por estar frente a la estación de tren el ruido de los trenes y transeuntres puede ser molesto. Las habitaciones no estaban mal, sin embargo, la habitación que me dieron en mi reciente visita, en el baño la coladera de la regadera parecia que estaba tapada, porque se inundaba súper feo, y tenias que cuidar que en algún momento no sobrepasará el nivel y el agua fuera a dar hasta la habitación. *NO tiene elevador, eso si no está padre, especialmente para personas con movilidad limitada.

Buen lugar para pasar un par de noches ahí. La ubicación es genial, sin embargo, justo por estar frente a la estación de tren el ruido de los trenes y transeuntres puede ser molesto. Be aware, the price that you book it for and the price they charge you at the hotel is different!

They told us that if want to pay in local currency (soles) - it will be 10% extra and if we want to pay by card - 15% extra. They offered us only to pay in Dollars, which we did not have in PERU. And the receptionist basically admitted that it's a scam that they are running.

Rooms are not great, lacks basic necessities and are very noisy. Breakfast was really poor as well. Good...

warning to other travelers. This is essentially a hostel on top of a bar. None of my family slept and we had a 6 am tour the next day. At 9 pm on a Sunday we came back from dinner and were told the music event downstairs would be over in an hour. It wasn’t done until 4 am.
