Hostal Milagros Inn — Hotel in Puno

My friend and I booked this hostel nearly two months in advance. We arrived at 9pm on the day of our booking – well before the stated latest check-in time of 10:30pm – but found the place completely shut. We rang the bell several times but no one answered. There were no signs or instructions left for late arrivals either.

With no one there to help and no way to get in, we were left stranded and had to walk around in the dark trying to find another place to stay. It felt very unsafe and stressful.

The next morning, we received a short and blunt message basically saying, “Sorry, our mistake,” with no offer of help or solution.

We would definitely not recommend this hostel if you’re looking for a secure and dependable...

Very nice stay at this hostal perfectly located in the heart of beautiful Puno. Great accommodations for the price and most importantly an beautiful & charming family in charge of taking care of us during our stay. We so appreciated meeting the hosts (parents and kids)… they really made our stay special....
