Hostal Oscar Inn — Hotel in Puno

Paid for a room, have no hot water in the shower at night. Called front desk, they just said it is going to be back the second day and gave no explanation, no resolution and no apology. I can only assume there is not enough hot water to support the entire inn so if you get hot water or not is purely based on luck. Also, they lock the front door in the middle of the day, which probably mean this is not a safe...

We were cheated at this hotel. The receptionist wanted to help us organize transport from Puno to Cusco, but it turned out that he cheated us for 60 Sol. (Two tickets worth 40 SOL sold us for 100, and a sticker stacked on the ticket price). We are traveling for a time after Peru, however, with this situation we have for the first time. I definitely advise against the choice...
