Hostal Pachacuteq Inn — Hotel in Santiago

Location is almost at the high end of Pachacutec street. Near the hot springs.|Very noisy. Basic service ok. Internet doesn't work unless you are near the street. My room phone didn't work. Even I told them but nobody did anything to repair it. I had to o to rwception each time I received a phone call (2 times).|They don't have access to outside calls..at least to Cusco...I wanted to contact my tour operator and I had to go out and look for a call centre.|Customer service, the worst seen in Peru. Don't care if something in your room doesn't work. No initiative to solve any complain. |I stayed here, because my tour operator work with them...if I could change of hotel I would.|Being a travel agent, this is a red flag in the service and is I believe the tour operator should check better their supplier. If you are looking for a clean and friendly hotel that's a great value look no further. This property is basic, but it makes up for the lack of frills by it's friendly and considerate service. The room was clean, spacious and (in the evening) quiet. (During the day the noise from the street can be a bit much, but chances are you will have other things on your agenda exploring Cusco)! The location is OK, but its a moderately steep hike to get to the center. I don't eat breakfast so I can't comment on the quality of the food, (there is no on-site restaurant), but there are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area to cater to...

This is my second time in Cusco and we decided to try a different hotel. This hotel was way too noisy and right where the intersection crosses. At night you could hear all the cars since the walls of the hotel were glass! I would not recommend this hotel! It's also far from the main square with a uphill 25 minute walk.
