Restaurante La Estación — Restaurant in Santiago

I discovered this restaurant when I was walking to the "Monumento a Pachacuteq (boleto turístico)". The waiter was very attentive and friendly, he opened the doors for me when I came and left, immediately served me and always assured that everything was fine. The menu ranges from pizza and burgers over soups to dishes from the coal grill (parrilla) and of course some starters and deserts. The prices are below the ones of restaurants in the center and the quality and taste of the food appeared to be better to me. I really enjoyed my dinner at La Estación and would definitely dine...

It looks like they changed their branding and menu within the last few months, their sign used to be orange and now it's black and more elegant. I uploaded a street picture of the restaurant as the one on Google had the old sign and it was tough to find.

Después de 4 días enfermo en los que había comido mal decidi que necesitaba cenar un buen plato de carne para recuperar energía así que me dirigí al sitio y pedí la mejor carne que habían y la más cara. Cual no fue mí sorpresa al encontrarme una carne estropajosa de sabor rancio qué se notaba que había sido congelada y descongelada varias veces o por lo menos ese era su sabor. Reclamé al chef por el tipo de sabor que tenía y pregunte si tenía algún tipo de condimento porque también es que sabia raro el cuál este me dijo que sí que tenía chimichurri por lo cual inocente de mí seguí comiendo pensando que era el sabor del chimichurri a lo cual llegó ya un momento que ya no pude seguir y dejé la mitad..a la hora de pagar se lo comenté a la cajera y con una cara bastante antipática y seca por cierto, me cobró sin ni siquiera un detalle... El local me gusta mucho y hay algunos camareros que son simpáticos y atentos pero no me gustó para nada la carne que consideró que es un abuso en comparación al precio y la calidad que dan.. tampoco me gustó la antipatía de la cajera .... no...
