My fiancee and I chose this place to celebrate her birthday and both of us are avid fan of steaks so we had their "Farm Fresh Food" set. Sorry but we're going to be harsh on this one and be frank. We hope it improves in the future.
Sourdough and signature dip: Probably the best part of the set but nothing extraordinary.
Roasted Tomato Cream Soup: It was just okay. Kind of tasted like sinigang but less sour. Goes well with the set's theme.
Baguio Harvest Salad with Sagada Orange Vinaigrette: It was like eating greens with some raisins then poured orange juice and that's it. Nothing special in this dish.
Neptune's Catch Linguini Pasta: Very bland and soggy pasta. We couldn't even taste the crab meat and the sauce literally had no taste! We both only took a small portion and didn't finish the dish.
Angus Beef Striploin Steak: The most-awaited part of the set - the steak cooked to our preferred doneness which is medium-rare. However, it was between rare and medium-rare. It was probably the most chewy steak we had! I asked the waiter to cook it to medium doneness. The dish did return and refilled our initial strips. Much better but it still was very chewy and hard to slice that my fiancee just stopped eating. It pains me to see her unsatisfied with the steak. The chimichurri is the only thing that made it somehow bearable for me and that's a sign of a bad steak.
Classic Vanilla Panna Cotta with Granola Crunch: Since it was her birthday, it was served with a candle and good lettering. She enjoyed this one but honestly I was expecting a complimentary dessert such as a slice of cake rather than the set menu's dessert. Sorry, did not enjoy this as well. There wasn't even real fruits in there and we're in Baguio - just strawberry syrup(?).
For drinks we had Peach Cream Soda and Watermelon Soda as non-alcoholic people but I get steaks are best paired with wine. It was just okay. My fiancee claimed her watermelon soda tasted like Yakult was added to the Sprite. The tea was good though.
About the service: very good service from the time we arrived to the time we left the area. I have nothing to say except they did not refill our water but that's acceptable. Thank you, waiters.
Ambiance: It was very intimate and almost perfect for a romantic date. Due to the small space, it was kind of hard to hear each other and we could hear conversations from the surrounding tables.
Might just be us but we think having card payment would be a lot more convenient rather than paying via cash and GCash especially for foreigners. We have visited some small restaurants which also turned out to be their home but they had terminals. They were even located far from the city center. For a popular and "exclusive" restaurant such as this, we're puzzled by this matter and it has been around for years.
We expected a lot on the food from a restaurant awarded by Tatler. An unpleasant experience overall and there are much better places in Baguio that serve good food. It was also way overpriced. Afterwards, my fiancee and I just craved for Jollibee on...
Read moreIf I can give a 0-zero rating I would gladly give them a 0-zero rating, whoever runs and owns the Cafe has been very inconsiderate and no respect for their neighbors , I'm not giving this review as a customer but rather as their neighbor. Sobrang ingay at napaka inconsiderate nila sa mga neighbors nila, this is a residential area not a business/commercial area, people have to get their rest and sleep however for the longest time they've been having guests even after 10pm and the noise that they're making is just unbearable. Police report have been made and we are happy to make a petition with the same sentiments and complains kasama ang mga neighbors namin sa city hall with regards sa nuisance na ginagawa nila sa mga kapitbahay namin.
And hindi lang nila guest ung gumawa nito rather it's the owners daughter together with her friends, and my wife had seen them from our window making remarks and gestures that their unhappy with the police report, which just shows na wala silang respeto sa kapitbahay nila, we're not trying to ruin the business we've been patient enough but everybody has their limit so please let's just respect each other, put yourselves in our and your neighbors position hindi nyo magugustuhan ung ginagawa nyo and to think na we have a city ordinance of silent night na that's start at 10pm, my parents are senior citizens so please naman be sensitive and considerate. Lastly sana naman po wag nyo po I block ung drive way namin parking 2 cars at the same time, we've asked them a few times respectfully about this pero to no avail and they continue to do it , what will we do if there's an emergency pano kami lalabas if anything happens will you answer for it and be responsible kung ano man mangyari this just shows na wala silang pakialam and respeto sa neighbors nila.
I hope we can treat each other with respect and be more mindful of your neighbors with regards to...

I recently visited 113 Wagner Cafe in Baguio, and let me tell you, it was an experience that left me both caffeinated and amused. Nestled in a picturesque garden, this cafe is like a hidden gem that even my GPS struggled to find!
First off, the coffee here is so strong, it could probably wake up a hibernating bear. I ordered a cup, and within seconds, I felt like I could conquer the world—or at least finish my crossword puzzle. The barista must have a PhD in espresso shots because that coffee was no joke!
The ambiance is cozy and charming, with lush greenery that makes you feel like you're dining in a botanical wonderland. I half-expected a toucan to swoop down and join me for lunch. The staff is friendly and energetic, which is great because I needed all the energy I could get after that coffee.
The food is a delightful mix of comfort and creativity. We tried their package Farm, a soup for appetiser and salads fresh and vibrant with bread that they do, pasta with seashell, steak with smashed potatoes very delicious all what they prepared, to end that marvelous voyage they came panna cotta with Red strawberries and it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I even caught myself taking a picture of my salad—yes, it was that Instagram-worthy!
But the real kicker? The cafe is so popular and we don't know that we have to make a reservation through their Instagram page, we got lucky. In this digital age, who would have thought we'd be booking tables via social media? It's like the cafe is saying, "If you can't find us, just slide into our DMs!"
In short, 113 Wagner Cafe is a must-visit if you're in Baguio. Just be prepared for a caffeine rush and a garden that's more photogenic than your last vacation. And remember, if you're looking for a quiet spot to read a book, bring earplugs—because that...
