On this trip to Cagayan we stayed at 3 hotels and G-Galyx was by far our favorite. It is centrally located near most of the places we needed to visit. All three hotels in which we stayed had 4+ levels. This was the only one with an elevator. It had the largest room. The bed was very comfortable. We did have a good nights sleep. The room was quiet all night but first thing in the morning The traffic in the street below did wake us up. The staff was friendly. My two interactions with them were pleasant. Thw only negative thing I would say is the price is 50% higher than the other budget hotels. If I come back for an extended stay that 50% difference becomes an important factor in deciding where to stay. Like I said G-Galyx was our favorite but at a price that is significantly less we will default to our 2nd favorite option.

good location. i think it’s okay for its price considering it’s only 400+ in agoda. however, i dont like that they don’t have any drinking water here. receptionist is impolite and doesn’t address your questions once you ask them. they’d pretend u didn’t ask them. and every service you ask, they have none. they even ask for a deposit fee (what would be broken here, the room itself is already broken - tv isn’t working, you cannot adjust the aircon’s temperature) idk. hahaha good thing i just booked an overnight stay here. edit: the worst! i shouldve spent more money for a decent accom. i can sleep easily despite noise but their aircon is so loud i couldn’t sleeep even if i’m so so sleepy, having walked more than a 10k steps yesterday. waste of money

The room itself is clean and well-maintained. They have a lot of staff who keep the facility in good condition. It is spacious, with tables and a cabinet. The bathroom has a shower but no bidet. However, there is no place to hang clothes or towels. My biggest concerns are, first, the parking space. There are many rooms but limited parking, which resulted in us having to park on the street at night. Second is the location. It is hard to reach at night because there is a night market and most roads are closed. The area is also too crowded, making it difficult to drive through. Lastly, there are no nearby establishments. But overall, it is a good place to stay.

A Review of Service at Ggalyx: A Frustrating Experience

During my recent stay at Ggalyx, I encountered significant issues with the service that impacted my overall experience. I arrived at the hotel at 12:00 p.m., exhausted from my trip and hopeful that I could check in earlier than the standard 2:00 p.m. check-in time. When I approached the front desk and asked if an early check-in was possible, I was told that guests were still in the process of checking out and that the rooms needed to be cleaned.

Initial Interaction and Promises At around 12:05 p.m., I observed several guests checking out and approached the front desk again to inquire if I could check in as soon as the rooms were cleaned. The response was positive, with the staff confirming that I could check in early after the rooms were ready. With this assurance, I continued to wait.

Prolonged Waiting and Lack of Communication Despite my hope of getting some much-needed rest, an hour and a half passed without any updates or progress on my check-in. During this time, I repeatedly approached the front desk to check on the status of my room, only to be met with vague responses and no tangible action. It is unreasonable for the cleaning process to take over an hour and a half, especially given the initial promise of an early check-in. The lack of proactive communication and the repetitive nature of my inquiries made the experience frustrating and exhausting.

Final Check-In I was finally checked in at 1:40 p.m., nearly two hours after my initial arrival. The wait was unnecessarily long, and the continuous need to ask for updates only added to my frustration. This experience reflected poor service management and a lack of attentiveness to guest needs.

Final Thoughts While Ggalyx may offer the standard amenities expected of a hotel, the service quality falls short. The inefficiency in handling check-ins and the lack of clear communication create an unwelcoming experience. If timely service and responsive staff are priorities for your stay, Ggalyx may not be the best option. For any hotel, guest satisfaction begins with how well staff manage essential processes such as check-ins, and this is an area where Ggalyx needs significant...

Pros:|1. Location.|2. Room prices are very affordable, as low as 198 for 12 hours. 388 for 24 hours (Capsule)|3. Check in & Check out was fast.|4. Cable TV with lots of programs.|5. AC worked well.|6. Free Wi-Fi.||Cons:|1. Bedding was too thin, bed was hard, pillow was not very comfortable. Linens weren't clean. There were dirt marks on the towels as well.|2. Shower pressure was very poor.|3. Stench coming from bidet.|4. Shower takes about 3 minutes before heat sets in.|5. Wi-Fi connection was intermittent.|6. I didn't have a landline telephone in my room (for front desk, etc) but there's one on the 9th floor, beside the Elevator, which is just across to my room. Imagine hearing the phone ringing when you are sleeping because front desk have to call maintenance or whatever.|7. On my last day, (stayed for 3 nights) the shower acted up and didn't want to heat up & pressure was the weakest. I called front desk and asked to have it checked, took them 10 minutes to have someone check my room, I even had to call them again to follow up on my request.|8. In the end, they weren't able to fix the issue, and just said they have to fix the issue by lunchtime. The heck! I had to shower with freezing cold droplets of water before I checked out.|9. Oh i forgot to include - elevator controls were hard to operate. You have to press the "touch sensistive" controls a lot of times before it responds.||Stay at this hotel if you don't mind poor customer service, weak shower pressure, dirty linens/towels & stinky water from bidet.||Overall 3/10 - Saving factors: Price, Cable TV...

Reception girls are impolite. They give you the more expensive rooms when you just need the less pricy ones. Example, you want the cube room but they give you the more expensive one. You want to spend below 1k but they make you spend 1,5. You negotiate to take the cheaper rooms but they dont offer it. You hear another guest ask and they give it. Price discrimination? And hey, I got the more expensive room but the aircon doesnt cool the room. And we are already too tired to change rooms because reception is too busy. We keep coming back because it is in the city but hey even the setup of the tv, location and reception is bad. Internet is also 1mbps. Not even fast enough my goodness.. Remember I'm making an honest review. I know this city. This street where the hotel is built as well. I know it in my bones. I hope you think about quality of service rather than just profit. Because eventually, your hotel will loose to competition if you don't...
