My name is Reginald McNeeses, and I want to write a review on the Gov Hotel in Dumaguete, first of all, I would like to say that I am very pleased with the hotel, The overall staff is very kind and friendly. The moment I walked on the property, I was greeted. with kindness. and concern. The security Officer. helped me with my bags. and to check in. front desk staff was as friendly as they possibly could be. Always smiling, always ready to help with a full knowledge of their job and duties. And understanding of the situation and circumstances as relate to the hotel business. I notice that the front desk staff was always readily available. to help. the front desk was always manned. they were always polite. and always kind. there was not a shortage of Hello. How are you, sir? How's your day? Whenever our eyes met, or if they sensed my presence in the room, it was always a greeting. And I think that's very admirable of them It's always nice to have an extra level of security when you're dealing with the general public. The security staff is unusually nice and kind. I would say that they would go above and beyond the call of duty. to help The hotel run with excellence and efficiency. at the same time standing with determination, they stand always on the ready. to assist with any circumstance of situation that may arise without sitting down I guess they would spring into action, If a situation was warranted. but I think that's pretty good with the level of security. The management staff. were in the same always. helpful, always kind I think the kindness the consideration. sprinkled down from Management. because everyone was in harmony. everyone was working together for one solitary single purpose. And That purpose. was to ensure that. every guess had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Go Hotels in Dumaguete, surprisingly good! I spent one night at Go Hotels in Dumaguete and it was surprisingly good. I usually have other options in Dumaguete but they were fully booked. I kind of hesitated when I arrived there coz at this time they were renovating the place so I was worried it might be very noisy. The receptionist promised me that it wouldn't be any problem with noise and it turned that she was right. Convenient location Go Hotels is nothing for the one who is looking for a beach resort near the sea with amazing sunsets and a white sand beaches. Aside from that Go Hotels has a very convenient location. It's 2 minutes walking distance from Robinson mall with shopping and restaurants. It's 5 minutes walking distance from the Ceres bus terminal. It's 10-15 minutes walking distance from downtown and the famous Rizal Bouleward (Or just the Boulevard) where you have everything you can wish for. The room but no breakfast The room came with a private shower and CR and it was nice and clean. The AC was quiet and easy adjustable. The TV was working with all the channels that you ever want. The bed was fresh and of good quality so I had a good night's sleep. I paid 1500 PHP for one night and the breakfast not included. Conclusion If you are not looking for a beach resort or that cozy little family owned hotel with personal service and home cooked food... well then Go Hotels can be an alternative. Competitive price, good location, nice and clean room make Go Hotels to an excellent choice to stay for a couple of days. Rating: 1-5 where 1 is terrible and 5 is excellent 5 Location 5 Sleep Quality 5 Rooms 4 Service 4 Value for the money 5 Cleanliness

So we stayed on 2 rooms, my room has issues. No table, the sliding window for the bathroom is missing, then the air-conditioning is not cold. At night it was not cooling the room properly, placed the temperature to 16 then at max air flow. It still not able to cool the room. Perhaps the ac is blocked or not cleaned, had to use a hand fan to give the cool air to circulate There was another problem and that was one of the cards doesn't work. When placed it will flash red or at one time it will show blue but doesn't open the door. It was 12am and I need to get some water on the dispenser outside, I was unable to get in the room, had to ask for assistance to open it. The other room had ac issues as well, but it has a table on it. If you're given 121 or 119 double check the AC if it can cool the room and the cards. Otherwise change to a different room.

TOP 4 REASONS WHY I SWEAR I'M NEVER GOING BACK AT GO HOTELS DUMAGUETE:

I was supposed to book 2 rooms for a Nov. 12-14, 2016 accommodation, but due to inadvertence I booked it for a Nov. 12-14, 2017 accommodation. I did not notice it until we were at the front desk of the hotel. I called up Go Hotels to request for the necessary correction (since the receptionist has no access to online booking). They accommodated my request, but I was asked to pay, on top of the room charge, an additional P560.00 per room, per night. What a steep price for a small case of inadvertence!

Before we left for our island hopping activity, we made a request for room service to have our bed sheets changed. We made our request as early as 9:30 in the morning, but when we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 in the afternoon we were greeted with the same unkempt room and used bed sheets. We asked the housekeeping to remind them of our request, but they simply said room service is done only from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. They could have given us a more brilliant and convincing excuse, because we arrived at 3:30 in the afternoon thus our request for room service should have been attended to already.

Before breakfast we would call the front desk to ask for hot water. During our entire stay at the hotel all our morning calls for hot water were not taken so we were forced to go to the hotel lobby to ask for hot water. In all those times that we went to the lobby to get hot water we saw the staff just completely ignoring the ringing phone and they were busily chatting with each other. The staff were consistently inconsiderate to the needs of their guests.

We were supposed to take the 3pm flight back to Manila so upon check out we decided to go around the city for some last minute shopping and asked the front desk officer if we can leave /deposit our bags at the hotel’s luggage area. Our request was granted, but, then again, it came with a P50.00 tag price for each luggage. With such poor service they gave us during our entire stay they still had the guts to ask us to shell out another P50.00 for a few hours of luggage deposit?! Just when we thought our miserable stay was soon to end and we were so looking forward to leaving the hotel that we thought could be our home away from home while in Dumaguete, they did not allow us to leave without experiencing the most annoying parting shot they have reserved for their guests. They did it so well and they were so successful that it made me to promise to never ever stay again in their hotel.

I love Dumaguete City! I’ve been to Dumaguete last year, and I promised to go back because of the wonderful adventures I had when I first visited this beautiful city. I will still go back to Dumaguete, but one thing is certain never again will I ever stay...
