We saw the reviews of this place on booking.com and they were really good so we booked months in advance for what they claimed is a "studio apartment". We arrived yesterday only to find that what we actually booked was nothing more than a hut in their yard, totally separated from the rest of their properties (which are normal and have all the good reviews). The roof is made up only from metal plates, nothing underneath to actually close it off from the outside. With the heavy rain it sounded like we were being bombarded. As soon as we walked in this place we immediately knew that this isn't what we were expecting based on their description and we went to find somewhere else to stay, in the middle of a storm. So you can imagine how bad it was. We contacted the owner and told her our concerns and requested a refund, but of course she denied, even though we had a perfectly good reason. We contacted booking.com and are still communicating with them. Not to mention that the price per night for this garbage of a place was more than even some actual hotels. This is the perfect description for this place. My family and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. Most of the day we were out on our island tours. During the night it provided us with comfort and relaxation. The house has basic kitchen amenities that we needed when cooking our dinner and breakfast. The whole house was spacious. We had enough space for everyone even if we were 7 adults and one child.
Lina, our host was very accommodating. She checked on us from our arrival and made sure everything was complete for us. She also visited us on our 3rd night and provided us with tips on the best possible time to leave El Nido to catch our flight in Puerto Princesa.
Inday, the care taker was always there ready to assist us. Her sari-sari store had everything that we needed. She was also smiling at us whenever we arrived from our tours.
There just some minor improvements. As we are in a tropical country, mosquitoes were everywhere. It would be nice if there would be a screen door at the main entrance.
Overall, our stay was fun, relaxing and comfortable because of...
Read moreA home away from home. We stayed here for two nights, it was a barkada getaway (15 of us plus my mama☺). Our budget for full day meal was 100 pesos and we cooked on our own. Comfort rooms were very clean, double deck beds were friendly coz the stairs are not steep. Flat screen cable tv so we were able to watch the replay of the GoT season finale. 5 minutes away from the island hopping assembly area, and a 10-minute walk to public market. One of the best summer vacations ever! 5-19...
